The feature

Motivation

Sharing images and videos with your friends and family is an integral part of immich.
I have noticed my friends and family uploading lots of pictures oriented the wrong way (landscape / portrait) and them uploading lots of identical pictures. Texting them about every asset they have to fix I have open right now is exhausting and most of the time they don't bother anyway.

Effect of not having this feature

My timeline is cluttered with wrongly oriented and almost-identical pictures I have no way to clean up unless I hide my partners from my timeline entirely.

As a partner i have no way to

• Change image orientation
• Stack assets (this one even produces an error flash message)

of assets which are shared to me by a partner.

Solution

It would be great to allow a user A who's partnered with B to allow B to edit A's assets, like they were their own.
A simple checkbox at the partnership relation: "[ ] Allow to edit your assets"

This issue was locked for reason of a completely unrelated topic and is basically not readable, unless someone would want to press "Load more" 50 times.

A single issue blocking forcing all discussion about such a big part of immich (sharing) into a single comment section is bad and unreadable.

I guess the reason is somewhere in "294 remaining items [comments, left to load]".
Why is it locked? Just loading the comments in this thread would take really, really long.
