I don't see us adding this directly. With something like #23630, a separate tool could do it through the API. |

The feature
Is your feature request related to a problem?
Immich recognizes people in photos, but it does not let me explore those people through their family relationships.
I use
[[Parenthèse](https://github.com/IliesAllali/parenthese)](https://github.com/IliesAllali/parenthese),a self-hosted family-tree application. Its Immich integration already lets users link a person in their family tree to an Immich person and retrieve their portrait. However, the family relationships recorded in Parenthèse are not available in Immich.Describe the solution you'd like
Allow Immich to import or synchronize family relationships from Parenthèse, reusing the existing associations between Parenthèse people and Immich person IDs.
For example, if Alice is linked to an Immich person and Parenthèse identifies Bob as her father and Claire as her sister, Alice’s person page in Immich could display a “Family” section with links to Bob and Claire.
Useful capabilities would include:
A first implementation could use one-way synchronization, with Parenthèse remaining the source of truth for family relationships. Editing the family tree inside Immich would not be necessary.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Additional context
This would connect two complementary tools: Parenthèse describes how family members are related, while Immich holds their photographic history. Being able to navigate between relatives directly in Immich would make family photo libraries easier to explore.
