Full Changelog: v1.5.3...v1.5.4
v1.5.3 Process dedup + visible search bar
v1.5.3 Process dedup + visible search bar
Highlights
- ✅ Processes are now deduplicated by TGID across all views—no more per-thread clones for apps like easyeffects.
- 🔍 Search bar is always visible while filtering, shows live query + cursor, and displays match count; Enter jumps to the first match, Esc clears.
- 🛡️ Single-instance guard remains to prevent multiple TUIs piling up.
Fixes & Details
- Group CPU/RAM per TGID before sorting or rendering (top lists, dialogs, filters) to ensure one row per real process.
- Filter bar redraws cleanly with better contrast and cursor indicator; selection is clamped after filtering to avoid out-of-range picks.
- Minor cleanups: hide unused fields warnings and keep navigation consistent when applying a filter.
Upgrade
- From source:
./install.sh- or
cargo build --release --features nvidia, amd, intel, systray - then copy
target/release/gleam{,-tray}into your$PATH.
- or
- Tray service:
systemctl --user restart gleam-observer.service
Verify
- Run
gleam --version→1.5.3. - In Processes view press
/, type: the bar should show your text, match count, and a block cursor; Enter should select the first match. Duplicated PIDs should be gone.
