V2.0 (which will come shortly after 1.16) will drop support for android 2.3. I want to know if there are any users who need critical bugs patched before then who use gingerbread.

According to the statistics, still 15% of all users have Android 2.x. And for those I cannot think of using an IRC client and not using Cyanogenmod (or similar) with Android 4.x.

I'll have to stay at 1.x then, 2.3.7 here but willing to switch to a new phone.

2.x is currently looking to be 4-5 months away as it stands.
