Problem:

  • If I want to set my units to bytes then I have to add the prefix b as well as set the valueFormatters property.
  • There are many units our IoT (and other) users will want to use that are not represented

Ideal:

  • Users could specify the unit as a string, and if it matches a unit in our list we can handle prefix/suffix and scaling
