WhoFundedIt_app

Description

This Python file retrieves funder names and grant IDs for a list of publications based on their Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) using the Crossref API. The input and output file formats are both .txt files. The file also measures the execution time, requests per second, and success rate.

Setup

Follow these steps to set up the code

  1. Install the proper version of Python in your environment
  • Python 3.x
  1. Install the required libraries in your environment. This includes:
  • requests library (pip install requests)
  1. Ensure dois.txt file and retrieveFunderData.py are in the same folder
  2. Run the code
