I can't promise an estimate, but my plan is to release version 2.2 soon after Apple ships the macOS Golden Gate RC. Releasing before the RC is unlikely because VirtualBuddy 2.2 must be compiled with the macOS 27 SDK and it's too risky to ship a production build that uses a beta SDK.
They should be stable enough for regular use, and you can downgrade to the stable version at any time if something is not working for you in the beta. |

Hi @insidegui,
thanks for the great work on VirtualBuddy 2.2. The improvements look really promising, especially the changes around macOS 27 VM installation.
Do you already have a rough idea of when 2.2 might reach a stable release?
I'm currently running macOS 26.6 and would like to test macOS 27 in a VM. I'm wondering whether it's better to wait for the final release or if the current beta builds are already considered stable enough for testing.
Thanks!
