Happy with this, however I'm curious about the rationale behind this change

A lot of the notes were notes that should be visible at first glance. For example, knowing the limitations of how you can name a slash command is important for first-time developers, yet were hidden in such a way that they would have no incentive to even press the note to find out what it had. By expanding them by default, people who don't care can just close them, while people who do at least get the chance to see them. |
