Repository navigation
v2.0.0
Itential builder skills now install natively in Claude Code, Codex CLI, GitHub Copilot (CLI and VS Code) and Cursor — the same 17 skills, complete with their templates and spec library, in every tool.
Highlights
- Every tool, one install. Each tool installs straight from the repo through its own plugin manifest. Commands per tool: README and
docs/vendor-install.md. - Self-contained skills. The helper templates, asset library, spec library and platform rules each skill uses are bundled inside it, so nothing depends on a clone or on Claude Code-only paths.
- Your org's rules, kept across updates. Every skill has
custom/org,custom/teamandcustom/devfolders for your own conventions; Itential never ships content there, so updates never overwrite them. Seedocs/customization.md.
Breaking changes
- Working from a clone: the per-tool copies (
.claude/skills,.agents/skills,.github/skills) are gone. Load the clone as a plugin instead — e.g.claude --plugin-dir .— see "Working from a clone" indocs/vendor-install.md. - Skill names in Claude Code and Codex carry the plugin prefix:
/itential-builder:spec-agent(Claude Code),$itential-builder:spec-agent(Codex). Copilot and Cursor keep/spec-agent.
Fixes
- Installing from an organization's own copy of the repo installs that copy (previously it silently installed Itential's).
- Broken references fixed in
gateway4-to-gateway5,builder-agentanditential-golden-config;documentationnow loads in Copilot;gateway4-to-gateway5's description fits the 1024-character limit.
