MyDevTools v0.1.14 — Linux preview
Pre-release
Pre-release
Preview builds of the MyDevTools desktop app for Linux.
Which file do I want?
| Your machine | File |
|---|---|
| Intel or AMD (any normal PC/laptop) | MyDevTools_0.1.14_amd64.deb |
| ARM64 (Raspberry Pi, ARM server) | MyDevTools_0.1.14_arm64.deb or the aarch64.AppImage |
Intel and AMD are the same architecture — amd64 covers both. Not sure? Run dpkg --print-architecture.
Install
sudo apt install ./MyDevTools_0.1.14_amd64.debRequires Ubuntu 22.04+ / Debian 12+ — the app depends on libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0, which isn't packaged on Ubuntu 20.04 or Debian 11.
AppImage (ARM64 only for now):
chmod +x MyDevTools_0.1.14_aarch64.AppImage
./MyDevTools_0.1.14_aarch64.AppImageKnown limitations
- No auto-update. These aren't signed by the updater and won't self-update — check back here for newer builds.
- A desktop keyring is required. The database encryption key lives in the Secret Service (GNOME Keyring / KWallet), so a desktop session with a running keyring is needed; a headless shell can't open the database.
- Not yet validated on real hardware. Built in containers. The keyring-across-reboot path in particular is unverified.
- No x86_64 AppImage yet — the
.debis the x86_64 option.
Built without LTO, so binaries are slightly larger than a macOS release build.
