Agents

  • Agents can now delete and move files, not just create and edit them.
  • Agent search can be limited to a folder or a file pattern, and supports regex.
  • Replies stream in word by word, and chats are saved.
  • New files open in the editor while the agent is still writing them, so you watch the code type in live.

Files

  • New file (Ctrl+N) on Home opens an untitled tab right away: just pick a name and start typing. The first time you save, run or preview it, Windows asks where to put it.
  • Untitled tabs are labelled "- Not in a Directory" until they're saved.
  • Open file (Ctrl+K) on Home and in the File menu opens a single file. A file outside the current project opens with its own folder as the project.
  • New files and folders, and renames, are typed straight into the file tree.

Home

  • Home greets you based on the time of day, the day of the week and special dates. On a special date (holidays, team birthdays) you see only that day's greeting.
  • Holiday themes for the launch animation and Home:
    • Halloween: orange and yellow
    • Christmas: white, green and red
    • Valentine's Day: pink, red and white
    • New Year's Day: fireworks over Home
    • April Fools: Home and the launch play in inverted colours
  • Home's panels are restyled as solid night-blue cards on a darker sky.

Window

  • New minimize, maximize and close buttons, drawn by Breeze itself so they match the app's theme.

Editor

  • Very long lines show the first 10,000 characters, with a "Show more" chip to reveal the rest 100,000 characters at a time.

Faster

  • Typing, the file tree and git refresh redraw only what changed instead of the whole view.
  • The language server gets only the edited part of a file, not the whole file on every change.
  • Git status, history and remote checks run in parallel, and history is cached until something changes.
  • Undo history uses much less memory, so big files keep a long history.
  • The launch hands off to the app faster (fade cut from 1.1s to 0.3s).

Fixes

  • When an AI commit message can't be generated with Codex or Antigravity, you now see the actual reason, and a fallback message is written from the list of changed files.
  • Codex commit messages use a model Codex supports, instead of one it rejects.
  • Window button hover is now a rounded square.
  • Discord status settings fade smoothly between old and new text.
  • The Send button dims when the message box is empty.
  • Status bar text sits centred under the panels.
  • Pressing Enter in a name box no longer adds a stray blank line to the editor.
