v0.1.0 — Initial release
First tagged release of pi-session-memory — a pi extension that gives the agent persistent memory across sessions.
Features
- Auto-injected project memory – a compact summary of recent sessions is added to context on session start (~1000 tokens), so the LLM knows what happened before
list_sessions– browse past sessions with metadatasearch_sessions– full-text search across session contentget_session_summary– LLM-generated summary of any session (cached)- All tools support cross-project access via an optional
pathparameter - Sessions are auto-summarized on shutdown;
/memory-updatebatch-generates summaries for larger histories (Esc to cancel) /memory-statusshows cache stats,/memory-clearwipes cached summaries- Stale memory triggers a warning
Install
pi install git:github.com/j-koester/pi-session-memory@v0.1.0Requires a pi version with extension support. Sessions are read from ~/.pi/agent/sessions/, summaries are cached in ~/.pi/agent/session-memory/.
