GlucoBar 0.12.0
Added
- Two sensors at once: if you wear two, for example a FreeStyle Libre and a Dexcom,
Settings → General → Second sensor → Add… connects the second one too (a different kind
from the first). Both values show side by side on the taskbar, the icon next to the clock
shows them one above the other, the desktop panel and the hover chart draw the second one
as a blue line with a legend, and on the Mac it sits next to the first in the menu bar.
Each is named after its sensor ("Libre", "Dexcom") or a nickname, alerts say which one
they are about, and the local bridge publishes both (thanks for the idea on Reddit).

GlucoBar 0.11.6
Fixed
- Delta, properly this time: it is now simply the current reading minus the previous
one, as the sensor apps show it: with LibreLinkUp, which has a new reading every minute,
the one from a minute before; with Dexcom and Nightscout, the one from 5 minutes before.
Until 0.11.5 the change was scaled to 5 minutes, so with readings a minute apart a +2
could become +10 or more, and when LibreLinkUp added a "historic" point the delta could
show +9 with the value not moving (thanks again for the detailed report on Reddit). When
there is no reading from the last 7 minutes, no delta is shown rather than a wrong one. - The chart, average and time in range use the history as before: the readings received
every minute only serve the delta.

GlucoBar 0.11.5
Changed
- Same as 0.11.4, built again: Windows Defender flagged the 0.11.4 installer as a false
positive, so 0.11.4 stayed a pre-release.
GlucoBar is not a medical device. Download GlucoBar-Setup-0.11.5.exe below (GlucoBar-Setup.exe is the same file, under a name that stays the same in every release). Mac (beta, Apple silicon): GlucoBar-0.11.5-mac.dmg, added a few minutes after the Windows installer. Full history: CHANGELOG.md

GlucoBar 0.11.4
Fixed
- Delta with LibreLinkUp: it compared the current reading with the last point of the
LibreLinkUp history, which has one point every 15 minutes and holds the sensor's
"historic" values, a little different from the real-time ones. So it could show a negative
number while the reading was going up (thanks for the report on Reddit). GlucoBar now keeps
the real-time readings it receives and compares with the one from about 5 minutes before,
as Nightscout and Dexcom do. Right after starting, until it has a few minutes of its own
readings, it still uses the history.
GlucoBar is not a medical device. Download GlucoBar-Setup-0.11.4.exe below (GlucoBar-Setup.exe is the same file, under a name that stays the same in every release). Mac (beta, Apple silicon): GlucoBar-0.11.4-mac.dmg, added a few minutes after the Windows installer. Full history: CHANGELOG.md

Pre-release: Microsoft Defender's automatic (machine-learning) check flags this installer, a false positive common for Python apps packaged as an .exe. It stays a pre-release until Microsoft clears it; the latest release is the recommended download meanwhile.
GlucoBar 0.11.3
Fixed
- Desktop panel and hover chart back to their layout: with the trend estimate on, the
line under the value got so long that average, time in range, min, max, below and above
moved from the top right to a line under the value, squeezing the chart. They are back at
the top right; the estimate shows in that line only when it fits, and always on the chart. - The estimate on the chart no longer has a grey box and an estimate label: just the
dotted line and its faint band after the last reading, as in 0.10.

GlucoBar 0.11.2
Changed
- Sounds wait for Apply: in Settings → Alerts and sounds the sound, pack, repeat and
volume you pick are only tried (▶, or right away when you pick one) until you press
Apply, so you can listen to them all without changing anything. Closing the window with
changes not applied asks whether to apply them. - Trend estimate on the chart: the next 30 minutes have their own shaded zone on the right,
labelled estimate, instead of a thin strip squeezed against the edge of a 12-hour chart.
Fixed
- Changing two sounds one after the other could close GlucoBar. MP3 and M4A files are now
converted by a separate GlucoBar process, so a problem in Windows' decoder can no longer
close the app, and the window doesn't freeze while a long file is converted.

GlucoBar 0.11.1
Fixed
- The Mac version of 0.11.0 was not built (a test stopped the build), so the Mac download
stayed on 0.10.1. 0.11.1 brings the new alert sounds to the Mac too. On a Mac without a
working sound player, alerts fall back to the system beep. Nothing changes on Windows.

GlucoBar 0.11.0
Added
- A sound for each alert, and your own sounds: low, very high and no data each have
their own sound. GlucoBar has seven of its own (falling beeps for low and rising beeps for
very high by default, so you can tell them apart without looking), and any WAV, MP3 or M4A
file works too: Browse… next to each alert. On Windows the files are converted once with
Windows' own decoder, so nothing extra is installed. - Sound packs: a folder of sounds, or a
.zipbrought in with Import…, becomes a pack
you pick from a list; GlucoBar chooses the sound for each alert from the file names, or from
an optionalpack.json. All the sounds of every pack can also be mixed one by one. - Repeat low and very high separately: e.g. low every 15 seconds and very high every
minute, each until the value is back in range. A long sound stops as soon as you are back
in range or press Silence. - Volume slider for the alert sounds (only GlucoBar's, not the rest of the computer).
- Alerts in the right-click menu: Alerts turns each alert on or off and changes the
pack, the sound and the repeat interval without opening Settings, and has Silence.
(Thanks to the Reddit user who asked for all of this.)
Changed
- Settings: alerts and sounds have their own tab, Alerts and sounds; the former Values
and alerts tab is now Values. If you had Repeat the sound on in 0.10.1, both alerts
keep repeating at the interval you chose.

GlucoBar 0.10.1
Added
- Alert sound, repeated if you want: alerts now play a short alarm sound, and with
Repeat the sound every … (Settings → Values and alerts) it plays again every 15 seconds,
or up to 5 minutes, while the value stays low or very high, until it is back in range or
you press Silence on the message (thanks for the suggestion on Reddit). Test plays it.
Fixed
- Resizing the small window from its corner also moved it with the mouse: the drag reached
the window around the corner too. Now it only grows or shrinks. The Windows test drags the
corner with the mouse and checks that the window stays where it is.

GlucoBar 0.10.0
Added
- Reminders: a Reminders window (right-click → Reminders…) for things like picking up
medicines, ordering sensors or long-acting insulin: every day, on some days of the week,
every few days, once, or a few days before the FreeStyle Libre sensor ends. The message
has Done and In 15 / 60 min. No doses, ever. - Several people at once: with LibreLinkUp, Person → Also show … puts other people
followed with the same account next to the main one on the taskbar, and alerts say whose
they are. A nickname for each person (Settings → General → People) appears next to
the value, with any sensor. - Trend estimate (experimental), off by default: on the desktop panel and the hover
chart, where the value would go in the next 30 minutes if it kept its recent trend, with a
widening band, and an optional alert when the estimate goes below the low threshold. It
shows a disclaimer to accept before turning on: it is not a forecast and not a medical
device. - Connect other devices (Settings → Connections, off by default): a local web address
with the value as JSON, Nightscout-compatible addresses so displays made for Nightscout
work with GlucoBar, and an OBS overlay page; and MQTT publishing with Home Assistant
discovery. Local to this computer unless opened to the home network, optional access key.
