Install profiles: a source's mind.toml may declare [profiles], named
item sets a consumer selects like cargo features (spec/profiles.md,
PROF-1..30). meld --profile <name>, --no-default-profile, and --all-profiles choose them at meld; without them the default profile is
offered. learn <source> --profile <name> enables one on a melded source and forget <source> --profile <name> disables it and forgets the items only it
wanted, keeping anything another item depends on. The enabled set is recorded
on the source, upgrade installs items a profile gains and reports the ones
it drops, curator entries take profiles and default-profile, dump
round-trips the enabled set, and review reports undefined members, cycles,
and empty profiles.
The probe TUI's meld input takes the meld flags (--pin branch=dev, --profile full, ...) and runs the full meld flow, install offer included.
The source dialog lists declared and enabled profiles with Enable and Disable
actions that preview what installs or is forgotten (TUI-77, TUI-78).
A seventh item kind, resource: each file or directory directly under resources/ installs to ~/.mind/store/resource/<name>, named by its full
file name, and is never linked into an agent home. An item reaches it with {{resources:name}} (or {{path:resource:name}}). Under convention
discovery a resource is offered only when an item in the same source
references it; an authoritative mind.toml offers every resource it
declares through [[items]] or [discover].resources. Nothing is read from
a resource's content, and it cannot declare link, bin, or build
(spec/resources.md, RES-1..14).
review reports an unreferenced-resource advisory for each entry under resources/ that no item references, and maps a hardcoded ~/.mind/store/resource/... path to {{resources:name}} (RES-13, RES-14).
--kind resource on probe and recall.
The user guide is reorganized around tasks, with new pages for core
concepts, recipes, team setup, scripting, and an FAQ, and the command
reference rebuilt from the --help output.
Changed
Path tokens are dependencies. {{tools:name}}, {{resources:name}}, and {{path:kind:name}} now pull their referent into a partial learn, as {{ns:}} does, so a skill's tools and resources install with it instead of
its expanded paths naming an empty store location (DEP-8). Learning an item
that references a tool now shows the dependency tree and prompts; scripts
need --yes, and learn --json without --yes refuses with confirmation-required. forget of a tool or resource that an installed
item references now warns about that dependent and prompts (DEP-60), so a
non-interactive forget of one needs --force or --yes.
resource is now a reserved namespace prefix. A new meld with [source].prefix = "resource" or meld -N resource is refused with ReservedPrefix. A source already melded under it keeps working with a
warning when the prefix came from -N, and fails its next scan when it came
from the repo's [source].prefix; either way the remedy is mind unmeld and
a re-meld under another prefix (RES-7, DSC-112).
Security
rustls updated to 0.23.46, clearing RUSTSEC-2026-0346, RUSTSEC-2026-0347,
RUSTSEC-2026-0348, and RUSTSEC-2026-0349. quinn-proto updated to 0.11.19,
clearing RUSTSEC-2026-0338, RUSTSEC-2026-0340, and RUSTSEC-2026-0343. Both
are transitive: rustls backs the HTTP client evolve uses, and quinn-proto is in the lockfile but not compiled into mind.
