• Version pins accept any cargo version requirement, not only caret and exact
  forms: comparators and comparator lists (--pin 'version=<2.0',
  'version=>=1.2, <1.5'), tilde (~1.2), wildcards (1.*), and a partial
  exact (=1.2). 'version=*' tracks every stable release, taking a new
  major like any other upgrade. The same ranges work in [source].pin-version and a policy
  auto_meld entry. A release above the range is offered as a breaking move
  like one past a caret.
