Initial release of tpersist, a Tcl SQL toolkit inspired by SQLAlchemy Core.
- Importable
db_*commands build reusable statements and expression dictionaries. db_exprand contextual-exproptions provide concise SQL-style expressions with bound values and named parameters.- SQLite (default), PostgreSQL, and MySQL execution through Tcl TDBC, including CRUD, joins, aggregates, schema helpers, transactions, and savepoints.
- A separately loaded
tpersist::oopackage provides optional TclOO convenience wrappers. - CMake shared/static builds for Tcl 8.6 and Tcl 9, six runnable examples, and API documentation. Examples retain the equivalent builder syntax in comments.
- No JSON dependency or direct database-client C API calls.
The 241-test suite passes in CI with SQLite, PostgreSQL 16, and MySQL 8.4. Shared/static builds, examples, and local sanitizer checks pass. This initial release is a Core-style toolkit; ORM tracking and migration generation are outside its scope.
Build from the source archive with CMake and matching Tcl development headers. Install the appropriate TDBC driver for database execution. See build instructions, API reference, and examples.
