I've been writing code for over 20 years. I believe that continuous learning is a major factor in developing skills for every Dev. I started out as a full-stack developer on enterprise level multi-tiered Java projects. That was a steep learning curve for a beginner, but worth it. Version control played a significant role in my set of tools while starting off. GitHub is an important component of my tool set for all my projects. to this day.
As a continuous learner I continue to challenge myself with projects that will either teach me something new or build on existing skills. To grow as a Dev don't stay in your comfort zone.

- 🧠 I'm currently developing a health and fitness tracker app that integrates social features with fitness activity tracking and sharing. The app allows users to create and track custom fitness activities, compete on leaderboards, and engage with a community of health enthusiasts. Key features include individual and shared pages, real-time notifications, leaderboards, comments, and fitness-related content provided by users. Built with Next.js, Redis, and PostgreSQL, this project is currently in the MVP stage with plans to expand social functionality and content sharing capabilities.
