AstroFrame 1.1.3
This release improves target recognition, plate-solving reliability, and astronomical object naming.
What's new
- Smarter filename recognition: AstroFrame can identify catalogue objects from image filenames and offer to use their coordinates for plate solving.
- Improved plate-solving clues: Locally imported catalogue coordinates are used when available, reducing reliance on online name resolution.
- Preferred astronomical names: Curated names take precedence over less familiar imported names, while alternative names remain visible.
- Clearer solving feedback: Improved confirmation dialogs and solving status messages.
Example
NGC 3576 is now identified as the Statue of Liberty Nebula, with Little Tarantula and Torch Bearer Nebula listed as alternative names.
