Use Auto fan with MelCloud Climate exposing fan speed 1 2 3 4 5 Auto

I use a vTherm overclimate for my reversible AC unit integrated within HA using MelCloud integration. However this integration is creating Climate entitities with Fan speed list 1 2 3 4 5 Auto instead of Auto Lot Medium High Turbo. I tried to read the documentation but didn;t find a way to map the current fan speed list with the vTherm one. Any idea where to find or suggestion how to do it beside automations?

Hello, yes it is not possible to map for now because the values Auto Low Medium High Turbo are normalized by HA.
You have to make an automation that listen to the the VTherm fan changes and make the maping there.

Merci pour la réponse, et surtout pour le travail remarquable que tu as réalisé. J'utilise et l'ai recommande pour au moins dix maisons et différentes config (central/TRV, paC, radiateur elec..) quelques réglages ici et là mais une fois fait ça marge super.
Sinon oui c'est ce que j'ai fait mais je pensais qu'il y avait un moyen de faire un mapping directement. Mais pas de souci, je comprends la normalisation et le verrouillage pour éviter trop de dérives. Cdlt

Tu aurais une Idee d'automation, je n'arrive pas a detecter le trigger ou l'entitee qui envoie l'info de fan speed.

J'avais une entitee: sensor.vtherm_fan_mode_salon mais avec la nouvelle version 8.2, elle n'existe plus.

Pour moi il n'y a jamais eu d'entité fan_mode. Je pense que c'est un template que tu as fait toi.
Ton template doit se baser sur un custom attributes (cf. https://github.com/jmcollin78/versatile_thermostat/blob/main/documentation/fr/reference.md#attributs-personnalis%C3%A9s).

I will see with him if there is something to do for your case. Can you please give us the complete list of the acceptable value (in Dev Tools / state).
