🔧 Improvements

  • style: dashboard — Active sessions, Server access and Permissions overview use compact tables and share one
band height under their titles, so their tables start on the same line; Active sessions shows how many are open
now; the protocol badge comes before the connection name at one width, so badges and names line up; a narrow
Server access card shows its tabs as icons; the card grid gap is 8px

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • fix: all-in-one image — RDP with TLS or NLA failed (security any, nla or tls: Security negotiation
    failed
): guacd ran as the guacd user with root's home, so FreeRDP could not create its certificate store. guacd
now runs with HOME=/home/guacd and the image creates ~/.config/freerdp for it. The separate guacd container
    (Compose) was not affected
  • fix: Test connection names a failed RDP security negotiation (and suggests another security mode) instead of
"username or password rejected", which guacd reports with the same status

Test a connection before saving it, disable a connection, a tabbed connection form, and a ready-made all-in-one
image: docker run ghcr.io/jniltinho/go-guacamole:allinone.

✨ New Features

  • feat: Test connection on the connection form (SSH, RDP, VNC) — a real guacd connection with the form's values
(stored secrets fill what is not typed again) that reports whether the host answered and the login worked, or
why not: guacd's own message (an untrusted certificate, an authentication failure), the credentials the server
asks for, or no answer in 20 s. SSH without a usable login reports not verified; RDP without NLA may only reach
the login screen. Commands, initial programs, RemoteApp, drives, SFTP and Wake-on-LAN are left out and nothing
is recorded; same permissions as saving, rate limited and audited (POST /api/v1/connections/test)
  • feat: disable a connection — it keeps its settings, is listed as Disabled, cannot be opened
(CONNECTION_DISABLED) and its open sessions are closed (migration 0010)
  • feat: the all-in-one image is published to GHCR with each release (allinone, X.Y.Z-allinone,
X.Y-allinone); the quick start is a single docker run with nothing to build

🔧 Improvements

  • style: new and edited connections in tabs (Connection, Display and terminal, Session, SFTP, Advanced,
    Recording, History), sections with icons, options as clickable rows, protocol and Disabled badges by the title;
a rejected field opens its tab, and the Connection tab fits without a scrollbar
  • fix: SSH shows only the SFTP options guacd reads for it (enable, root folder, disable download/upload): SSH runs
SFTP inside the same session with the connection's own credentials; RDP and VNC keep the full SFTP settings

Clone a user with its permissions and groups, and an all-in-one image built from the latest release in seconds.

✨ New Features

  • feat: clone a user (as in Guacamole) — Users → edit → Clone opens the new-user modal filled with the source's
account, profile and restrictions (name, e-mail and password are not copied); the new user gets the source's
permissions (system, connections, connection folders) and group memberships in one transaction. Administrators
only (POST /api/v1/users with cloneFrom), audited as user.create with clonedFrom
  • feat: all-in-one image from the latest release — docker/Dockerfile.release and docker/compose.release.yml
download the release tarball, check it against checksums.txt and run guacd, goguacamole and Redis in one
container, with no Go or Node.js build (RELEASE=v0.5.0 pins a version); see
    docs/all-in-one.md

🔧 Improvements

  • style: XP — the topbar user button hovers with a light tint, keeping the white text readable on the blue bar
  • style: Server access shows a compact date and time (30/10/26, 13:27), so the dashboard card has no horizontal
    scroll
