I created this small plugin because I use KeePass daily with one personal and one shared business database.
Even not enough on I need to do this on cross-platform operating systems every day. People tend to make mistakes from time to time. That is the right moment for backups.

At the time I only used Windows with Francis DatabaseBackup plugin everything was fine, but since I need to switch between Windows, macOS and Linux I realized that Francis plugin doesn't play nicely. It has some serious bugs when using multiple databases and the path names were not cross-platform compatible. So I forked DatabaseBackup, removed the GUI, stripped out everything unneeded and modified it for my needs - cross-platform, simple, silent ==> SimpleDatabaseBackup

I store my password file on a remote server and use FTP to access it in KeePass. This plugin doesn't seem to be able to create the backup on my remote FTP site. Can I somehow make it create local backups from where KeePass (and the plugins) are installed?
Thanks,
Dave

@fldavem
You are correct. SDB currently does not support backups on any remote site. This is because most users use something like Dropbox, GDrive, Nextcloud ect... which all are local. (In fact you are the first user who uses ftp but that's ok)

Anyway this is an issue which should be resolved by me. Since this is not a trivial task it will take some time to get resolved.

Could you be so kind to create a new issue instead of an comment using this link:
https://github.com/jnko/SimpleDatabaseBackup/issues/new

This way other users are able to find this information too.

Thanks!
