Added

  • Optio Local reads the agent's own status. The daemon's terminal now answers the OSC 7501 Program Status Protocol query, the protocol Ghostty 1.4 ships and Claude Code, Pi and Crush emit. An agent reports working, blocked (waiting for your permission, a question, or a sign-in), done, error and idle itself, and once it has, Optio stops inferring its state from hooks, bells and silence. The "needs you" queue and the terminal cards on the web, iOS and Android say what the agent is waiting for: "waiting for your permission", "has a question for you", "needs you to sign in", "done — review the result", "failed — review the error".
  • Reports are treated as untrusted output: values are checked against the protocol's alphabet and limits, messages must not decode to control characters, and a report over a limit is dropped whole.

Upgrading

  • No migrations. Restart optio local up on each machine to pick up the new daemon; a Claude Code session started by the old daemon keeps the old detection until it is restarted.
helm upgrade --install optio oci://ghcr.io/jonwiggins/optio --version 0.21.0 -n optio --reuse-values
