• PHP 8.6 doc comments on function parameters — Param now has a doc_comment field, populated from a /** ... */ block placed either immediately before a parameter or trailing it up to the comma (e.g. function f(/** the id */ int $id, string $name /** display name */) {}), per the DocComments For Function Parameters RFC. Since a bare comment is legal PHP at any version, attachment isn't gated behind PhpVersion::Php86 (php-ast, php-rs-parser, php-printer).
