Daybook for Windows 0.1.0
Install
- Download
Daybook-setup.exeand open it. It installs for you alone, no administrator needed. (Daybook.msiis the same app for IT-managed PCs.) - This build isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen says it "protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Daybook opens on this PC: your days live here, inside Daybook. Closing the window keeps it in the tray, by the clock; right-click its icon to quit.
Updating? Install the new one over it. Your days stay.
Daybook for Mac 0.2.1
What's new
- Wrap up. The evening ritual is called Wrap up now, in the window, the menu bar and the reminder. It used to say "Shut down", which sounded like quitting the app.
- Clearer days. An empty day has one button, Start planning. The focus line asks about tomorrow when you look at tomorrow. The week strip shows "2 tasks" on days whose tasks have no time.
- Keep today says plainly where an open task stays when you wrap up.
- Erase everything now sits on its own row at the end of Settings, away from Export and Import.
- Cloud Daybook: the menu bar waits until you've started before offering Wrap up. Connecting no longer asks your Keychain for a key this Mac didn't save, and it remembers a key it did save after you switch back to this Mac.

Daybook for Mac 0.1.9
What's new in 0.1.9
- Opening, never setup. If your Daybook is slow to answer when the app opens (offline at login, a server waking up), the opening scene stays up and the app keeps trying, then opens as soon as your Daybook answers. The address-and-key screen now appears only on a Mac that was never set up, or when the saved key stops working.

- Done goes to the bottom. Tick a task in the menu bar and it moves under the ones still to do, so the next thing is always on top, the same as in the window and on your other devices. Prefer it to stay put? Settings → Appearance → "Move finished tasks to the bottom".

Daybook for Mac 0.1.7
What's new in 0.1.7
- Reorder in the menu bar. Drag a to-do up or down: the other rows part to show where it lands, and your trackpad ticks at each new place. The new order is saved, and goes back if it can't be.
- Drag that you can feel. In the window, a Force Touch trackpad ticks as you pick up a task, as it finds each new place and as you put it down, on Today, Plan the day and Week.
- Little things in the menu bar. Ticking a task off bounces its check with a tick under your finger, the counts roll to their new numbers, and "Tomorrow" grows in when you point at a task.

Daybook for Mac 0.1.6
What's new in 0.1.6
- Straight into the opening. Daybook no longer shows the "address and key" screen for a moment before its opening. While it checks your saved key, you see the salon wall.
- A quicker opening. The same wall of paintings, mark and plaque, in about a second and a half instead of almost three.

Daybook for Mac 0.1.4
What's new in 0.1.4
- A proper opening. Daybook now opens like the landing page. The picture lamp warms, the paintings hang one by one, and Daybook's mark appears under the lamp with today's date on a brass plaque. Then your day opens. It plays once per launch; with Reduce Motion on, it appears without movement.
- No more key screen at launch. The window signs in before it shows anything, so the "enter your key" screen no longer flashes by.

Daybook for Mac 0.1.3
What's new in 0.1.3
- Your version, in Settings. Settings now shows which Daybook for Mac you're running, with Check now, or Update when a new version is waiting.
- A small "Update" mark. When a newer Daybook is out, a lit dot and the word Update appear beside the Settings gear. Click it to install. The same mark tells any open browser tab when your Daybook has a newer version, and a click reloads it.
- Tasks keep their order. Two tasks added in the same instant (by an agent, say) now always stay in the order they were added.
