Performance testing #2
Comments
How Topcoat does it: http://topcoat.io/posts/benchmarks/ |
The author approached Bootstrap about this at one point: https://github.com/axemclion/perfjankie |
yes @axemclion did a great job pulling the relevant topcoat performance testing code into a more robust and portable project. This is what I had been prototyping with. |
I have tried perfjankie before with out luck getting it running but tried with latest today and had it running in about 10 minutes and can all be done with npm so this should work well |
Yes that was my experience as well. |
I would love to collaborate and help with this. Do we have some code written already ? |
@axemclion That's what I'm talking about! |
@axemclion our first step is we want to set up sample pages from existing frameworks and test them to compare different existing approaches. |
Timing... |
@axemclion we have meetings on freenode on irc in #jquery-meeting tuesdays at 1pm eastern and we talk in #css-chassis would love to have your input. |
We should have performance tests that run on every commit to ensure our styles are not causing rendering issues.
@kristoferjoseph and @brianleroux have experience doing this with Topcoat.
