I tested on Mac, Ubuntu and Debian. It's work fine.

Not all mac users have brew, not all linux distributions have apt (some have yum) for example. I wouldn't add this to the makefile therefore, but what about mentioning the specific comments to install on linux or mac in the readme?

1 doesn't refer to the version, but that it's a user level tool, which is a convention known from unix systems.
