Picasso 0.11.2 is here

Changelog

  • Fixed the calibrations stored in the camera config (z, experimental PSF and sCMOS) not being cleared when switching to a camera the config has no entry for.
  • Render saves the color bar (LUT) of the rendered property next to every image exported while rendering by property (*_colorbar.png), from the main and from the 3D window.
  • Fixed AIM's second round barely correcting the drift (HohlbeinLab/webSMLM#9, reported by @HazenBabcock against a port of this code). Also, thanks to @jhohlbein for the information.
  • Fixed AIM drift correction underestimating the drift.
  • AIM no longer extrapolates the drift with a cubic spline before the first and after the last segment midpoint, where it could swing far off; the spline knots are now padded as in the reference implementation.
  • Fixed Render failing to start when ~/.picasso/settings.yaml holds a Render section without a Colormap entry.
  • Fixed 3D animations losing full turns.
  • 3D animations no longer render each position twice, which held one frame at every position of the sequence.
  • Fixed error when adding new channels when 3D render is open.
  • Updated readme.txt for both installers regarding camera config and plugins.

Notes

⚠️ See the readme.txt file attached on how to add the camera config file.
⚠️ (Windows) If installed in Program Files, Render and Localize may not be available for non-administrator users. Therefore, we recommend installing Picasso outside of Program Files. The current default location is C:\Picasso.
⚠️ Windows Safety features and Windows Defender may ask multiple times for permission during the installation and download.
⚠️ If your macOS installer does not open due to potential malware, click on the "?" button and follow the instructions to open Picasso anyway. This needs to be repeated for both the main "picasso" app as well as the individual modules.
