HomeAttach 1.1.0
Update the PC first — this build will not connect without it.
cd HomeAttach && server/install.shIt installs tsess-mux, which every terminal now runs through. If you skip it the app says so plainly instead of retrying forever.
One channel for every terminal
Each session used to hold its own SSH channel. They now share a single one, multiplexed on the host.
| before | after | |
|---|---|---|
| open a second session | 192ms | 89ms |
| switch back to a session | no reconnect | no reconnect |
| close one session | every other one reconnected, 0.6–1.0s each | untouched |
| connection drops | one handshake per session | one handshake, all sessions back in 53ms |
That third row was the reason for the change: closing a session tore its channel down while opening another on the same transport, and every surviving terminal dropped with it.
Also in this release
- Sessions stay warm when you switch away, so returning to one is instant instead of a reconnect plus a full screen restore. Back closes only the session you left.
- Only the terminal on screen claims the remote size, so a backgrounded session coming back from a signal gap no longer resizes the one you are looking at.
- A dead connection is noticed in ~8s instead of ~30s.
- Restoring a session after a long absence repaints progressively instead of freezing the UI.
Compatibility
Existing sessions on the PC keep running across the upgrade — verified against daemons started by the previous zmx. Their activity lamps stay dark until they are recreated, since the older daemon does not report output activity.
