Installing numpy on python 2

Hi, recently i donwload the jupyter notebook with python 3, 64 bits but i needed to use python 2, so i follow this instructions http://ipython.readthedocs.io/en/latest/install/kernel_install.html?highlight=python%202 and it worked well, the problem is that when i try to import the library pylab with python 2 it says

"ImportError: No module named pylab"

how can i solve this ? i'm new here

If you are using conda, you can do:

conda install numpy

If you are not, you can use pip:

pip install numpy

When you have more than one Python installed, it can be tricky to make sure that you install packages for the right Python. In your Python 2 notebook, you can do:

import sys
print sys.executable

which will tell you where Python is. You can then use this to install numpy (and any other packages):

 /path/to/python2 -m pip install numpy

You can even do this all in the notebook:

import sys
!{sys.executable} -m pip install numpy

i need a help
i am also new to this field ,so i installed conda a year before with python 2 and everything worked fine but recently i switched to python 3 .
now whats happening is that im not able to import any package same error is coming
No module named 'numpy'
can u help and explain everything as it would be really helpful for understanding this field and how to use data science tools

in my python 2 when i do sys.executable it shows
C:\Users\User\Anaconda2\python.exe
in python 3 where all the problem is
c:\users\user\appdata\local\programs\python\python36-32\python.exe

It sounds like you're trying an import in two different installations of Python, or two different environments. Check sys.executable to see which Python and environment you're running in, and sys.path to see where it looks to import modules.

Python packages must be installed separately for each copy of Python you use, and if you are using virtualenvs or conda envs, packages must be installed into each environment where you need them. Either the package is not installed in one, or a different version of the package is installed.

To install packages to a particular Python installation or environment using pip, you can run it like this:

path/to/python -m pip install ...
# Replace path/to/python with the path of the Python executable (sys.executable)

If you are using conda environments, you can install packages from conda like this:

source activate myenv  # On Windows, just 'activate myenv' (no 'source')
conda install ...
