Jutsu Studio 0.2.6, an unofficial desktop app for Higgsfield on macOS.

Unofficial. Jutsu Studio is a community-built tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Higgsfield AI. Higgsfield, Genjutsu, Seedance, Kling and other model names are trademarks of their respective owners.
You pay Higgsfield, not us. Generations are billed to your own Higgsfield account (plan credits or API balance) at list prices. Jutsu Studio is free and takes no cut.

Install

  1. Download Jutsu-Studio-0.2.6.dmg below, open it and drag Jutsu Studio to Applications. Or run brew install jutsuhq/tap/jutsu-studio.
  2. Launch it and connect Higgsfield: Connect your Higgsfield account (plan credits) or paste an API key from the Higgsfield console.

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Installed copies update themselves.

Changes since v0.2.5

  • Subtitles on device. Subtitles… on a video makes subtitles from its speech, free and without uploading anything.
    • Speech models: on macOS 26 it uses macOS's own speech models. Parakeet Ultra covers 25 European languages on macOS 14 and later; you download it once in Settings › Subtitles, about 630 MB.
    • Editing: Edit Subtitles opens beside the player, to edit, merge and split cues.
    • Output: Export for Editing can write an .srt. Each Delivery Set output can add SRT + VTT files or burn the subtitles into the video.
  • Menu bar mode. Settings › General › Run in the menu bar keeps Jutsu Studio running with every window closed, out of the Dock, for when agents drive it. Open at login can start it that way. Both are off until you turn them on.
  • A new menu bar panel. It shows your connection, the agents, today's agent budget, what needs you, what runs (with Cancel) and the latest results, in macOS 26's Liquid Glass.
  • Kling 4.0. Make a 3–30 s clip at 720p or 1080p, with an API key or on a Higgsfield account. Start from a prompt, from a start and end frame, or from up to ten images and a video as references. Edit can rework a clip as the prompt says.
  • Genjutsu Lite takes up to ten reference images. Each mode now offers every resolution it renders at, and 480p stays the default where the mode has it.
  • For AI agents.
    • A new subtitles tool makes, reads and exports subtitles, free.
    • Kling 4.0 is available through create_video, quote and capabilities, and capabilities lists each mode's resolutions.
    • When an agent finds the app closed, the app starts in the background with no window and doesn't take the focus.
  • Fixed:
    • Genjutsu Lite's Object Swap asked for 480p, which Higgsfield doesn't render it at; it is now made at 720p.
    • With an API key, a full Higgsfield queue now waits as Higgsfield asks instead of pausing the job.
    • An expired or disabled API key is reported as a refused key, not as an empty balance.
    • Hashing a large video no longer holds the whole file in memory.

Known issues

  • Subtitles with macOS's own speech models need macOS 26 or later. On earlier systems, download Parakeet Ultra in Settings › Subtitles.
  • Smooth Motion needs macOS 15.4 or later, and upscale on device needs macOS 26 or later. On older systems these actions are hidden.
  • An upscaled image loses its transparency.

Jutsu Studio 0.2.5, an unofficial desktop app for Higgsfield on macOS.

Install

  1. Download Jutsu-Studio-0.2.5.dmg below, open it and drag Jutsu Studio to Applications.

Changes since v0.2.2

Free on-device Enhance, made with macOS's own VideoToolbox. Nothing is uploaded and no credits are spent:

  • Smooth Motion. Enhance › Smooth Motion makes new frames between a result's own. 60 fps keeps the clip's length and sound. 2× and 4× Slow Motion play it longer, without sound. At a hard cut a frame is repeated instead of blending the two shots.
  • Upscale on device. Makes a video up to 720p, or an image up to 1920×1080, four times larger. The sound is kept. macOS downloads a model of about 62 MB the first time, after you agree in the sheet. The sheet shows how long the run should take. A 15-second 480p clip takes a few minutes.
  • New versions, not new files. Every result is a new version of the item, and the original stays as it was. Compare with Original on the item's menu shows the two side by side. Delete from Library now also moves the item's earlier versions made in Jutsu Studio to the Trash. Files that a delivery set holds stay where they are.
  • For AI agents. enhance takes engine: "mac" for upscale and a new smooth_motion operation. These runs are free and need no max_cost. Follow them with jobs and cancel them with job_action. The model download is always yours to agree to: the agent is told to open the sheet with show. capabilities reports what this machine supports, and library_get names the version a result was made from.
  • Agent tools, tidied. The tool schemas state the limits the app already enforced. A held image request explains why in the same words as a held video.
  • Fixed: an export that fell back to re-encoding could stall other media work.

Known issues

  • Smooth Motion needs macOS 15.4 or later, and upscale on device needs macOS 26 or later. On older systems these actions are hidden.
  • An upscaled image loses its transparency.

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Installed copies update themselves.

Changes since v0.2.1

Fixes for AI agents, from a production agent's first days with the MCP server:

  • Titles for jobs. create_video and create_image take an optional title. The Queue, the Library, search and export file names show it instead of the source's file name.
  • Genjutsu Lite has a price up front. quote estimates Lite from its rate per second instead of saying the price is unknown. A job still waits for Higgsfield's exact quote before anything is paid.
  • Know at once whether a job runs. create_video takes wait_seconds and answers once the price is known or the job is held.
  • An agent can lift its own hold. A job held because its price is over max_cost goes on when the agent sends the same request with a higher max_cost. It still has to fit today's agent budget and your daily cap, and every other hold stays yours to decide.
  • Errors with numbers. over_cap says what your cap is and how much of it is taken today. file_refused says how much disk space is free and how much is needed.
  • Hints for agents. A finished video points to frames to check it against its source. capabilities says when the agent's connection is older than the app and should be reconnected.
  • Fixed: waiting on jobs while the app was in the background answered still_working instead of timedOut.
  • Fixed: Seedance 2.5 on an account made landscape videos from portrait sources. It now keeps the source's orientation.

Changes since v0.2.0

More for AI agents, from the first real use of the MCP server:

  • Several input images in create_image (inputs), up to the model's limit, so a first frame can be made from a source frame plus character references in one call.
  • Characters by name. elements lists your account's characters and other elements, and create_video / create_image take them by name; the answer tags every image sent as @image1, @image2 and so on.
  • Full Library items with library_get: the whole prompt, the inputs in the order sent and the settings.
  • Frames and side-by-side checks with frames: still frames of a result or a file, and a contact sheet against another clip or the job's own source. Free.
  • Higgsfield history for agents: library_search can include results made on the Higgsfield website, and library_download brings them into the Library. Free.
  • Clearer limits: capabilities and quote say how many variants a job can make (and why only one), and how many reference images the model takes, instead of a fixed 16.
  • Under the hood: one request gate for every paid agent request, budget rules in one place, and more tests.

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Installed copies of 0.1.x update themselves.

Changes since v0.1.1

  • Jutsu Studio for AI agents. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Claude Desktop can drive the app through its bundled MCP server: quote and queue videos and images, follow jobs, search and mark the Library, build and export Delivery Sets. Add it with
claude mcp add jutsu -- "/Applications/Jutsu Studio.app/Contents/Helpers/jutsu" mcp.
Agents are off until you allow them in Settings › Agents, spend only within the daily agent budget you set there (0 by default), and anything above it waits in the Queue for you.
  • Genjutsu Lite, a cheaper Genjutsu for motion transfer and object swap (up to 15 s), next to Genjutsu in Create on a Higgsfield account. It isn't offered with an API key yet, as Higgsfield hasn't published its API.
  • Library and UI polish: pressing the lit Keep or Reject again takes the verdict back, image frames are named by their usual aspect ratio (4:3, not 73:55), the current card's ring no longer bends around its title, and every control has a short tooltip.

  • A clearer page after you approve access, with an Open Jutsu Studio button that brings you back to the app.
  • Signing out goes straight to the sign-in screen instead of leaving Settings on screen.
  • Two tests fixed that failed on GitHub's macOS runners.

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

What's in v0.1

  • Three Genjutsu modes: motion transfer, object swap and restyle in one window.
  • Two ways to log in: your Higgsfield account through Higgsfield's MCP server, or your own API key. Both are stored in the macOS Keychain.
  • Smart input prep: native AVFoundation transcode, 4–30 s range trimming, HEIC→JPEG, automatic fit to the 200 MiB limit, the object-swap pixel check.
  • Cost before you pay: a live price tag on every job, an optional daily spend cap. Failed, NSFW-rejected and canceled jobs are not charged.
  • Quick Preview: a 480p draft for about a dollar before you render the 720p/1080p final.
  • Preset manager: the restyle catalog with previews and search, cached locally.
  • Queue: run jobs within your concurrency limit, keep working in the background, resume after a restart; one idempotency key per job so retries never double-charge.
  • Local library: results downloaded to ~/Movies/Jutsu Studio with their inputs, prompt and cost; before/after toggle, "render final" and "edit & re-run".
  • Private by design: no backend, no telemetry; everything stays on your Mac.
