Release list
AIRIZ Console 1.11.22
Safe auto-update (1.11.22): Windows app → Updates → Auto-update (opt-in). Releases download by themselves and install only after the console has been untouched for 5 minutes (no command, click, key, macro, recording, camera session or voice message); the Updates dialog first shows a 30 s countdown with Cancel auto-install. A manual Install still asks for confirmation with the motion warning. Logic: desktop/update-controller.cjs (autoBusyReason), idle time from AirizConsole.getStatus().idleMs (web/app.js), dialog in web/desktop-integration.js. Also fixes a packaged-app crash: preferences.cjs was missing from the installer (guarded by desktop/tests/packaging.test.cjs).
Go home key + camera-based night mode (1.11.21): pressing Home on the keyboard now sends the camera home when the Camera tab is in front (outside fields, dialogs, and the side nav, no modifiers, no key-repeat) — mirroring the existing Go home button, which is now exception-safe so any thrown error from the move or the bottom switch becomes a visible status line, not a silent no-op. Auto night vision (web/ptz.js, web/ptz-core.js) now uses both the on-board light sensor and the camera picture: camera mean luminance is sampled on the main thread every ~700 ms (camera detection cannot run inside the analyse() worker, which has no DOM), a 6-sample rolling buffer smooths it, hysteresis applies (defaults cameraDarkBelow: 22 / cameraBrightAbove: 60 in 0..255 luminance units, tunable in the UI), and combinedNightDecision says night when either source says dark while only switching back to day when both say bright — so a covered ALS or a covered lens no longer freezes the wrong mode. ALS-only behaviour is preserved with one click (Also use the camera picture off). Tests: desktop/tests/ptz-core.test.cjs (meanLuminance, cameraDarknessDecision, combinedNightDecision), desktop/tests/ptz-go-home.test.cjs (click + Home-key wiring).
Wobble test fixes (1.11.20): the test starts with the rise when the head is already down, the camera frame check counts from the first frame at full window speed, height reference and calibration are hidden (motor speed moved to Position), and the console window always shows on start.
Downloads: AIRIZ-Console-Setup-1.11.22-x64.exe (installer) or AIRIZ-Console-Portable-1.11.22-x64.exe (no install).

AIRIZ Console 1.11.20 - wobble test fixes, simpler Position group
AIRIZ Console 1.11.20: wobble test fixes, simpler Position group
Owner: Juwen Lie · Team: Ziris PTB
- Wobble test: Start again rises first. After a test the head is already down, so pressing Start wobble test
again no longer drives it down into the bottom end stop first: the test goes straight to the camera-noise second and
the rise. Also when the bottom switch reports the head is fully down. A manual rising jog in between makes the test
lower first again, as before. - Camera frame check fixed. The "camera picture hardly updates" check now counts one second from the first camera
frame (a new camera reader can take a few hundred ms to deliver it), and the console stays at full speed while the
test runs, even when its window is covered or behind other windows. A camera that really is slow (dim light: many USB
cameras drop to 5-8 frames per second) gets a clear message with the measured rate; Start again does not lower the
head a second time. - Simpler Position group. Height reference and Calibration are hidden; Motor speed moved to the Position
group (the wobble test uses the rising speed). - The console window always shows on start, also when Windows misses the first paint (before, the app could keep
running with a hidden window, and starting it again did nothing).
Unsigned Windows x64 build. Tested: desktop unit tests (123 pass), console UI tests, the packaged-app smoke test, and the
real wobble-test code against a simulated AIRIZ and camera (repeat test, manual jog in between, 5 fps camera, slow first
frame, bottom switch pressed). Not yet run on a real AIRIZ.

AIRIZ Console 1.11.19 - wobble test for the rising head
AIRIZ Console 1.11.19: wobble test for the rising head
Owner: Juwen Lie · Team: Ziris PTB
- New: Camera tab → Wobble test. Point the camera at the AIRIZ head, press Start: the AIRIZ goes down, rises and
goes down again while the console follows the camera picture and measures how much the head wobbles sideways
during the rise. Result: grade 1–4 and PASS (grade 1) or FAIL. - Never a false PASS: with fewer than 12 camera frames per second, too little steady movement or an unsure
measurement the result is NOT RELIABLE. A camera that hardly updates is reported before the test starts. - Teach the grades: grade a few units by eye, enter your grade after each test and press Fit the grade borders;
the console moves the borders to match your eye. Set the camera view width (default 70°) for correct degrees. - History of every test on this PC, with CSV export.
Unsigned Windows x64 build. Tested with a synthetic camera (known wobble 0 / 0.18 / 0.34 / 0.8° → grades 1 / 2 / 3 / 4)
and the packaged-app smoke test; not yet on a real AIRIZ. The starting grade border (0.12°) is an estimate until it is
fitted to units graded by eye.
Twin for Windows and Mac
Twin — invest and trade with your own broker. The desktop app runs your own Twin server: practice money, real trading with Alpaca (US stocks and ETFs) or Interactive Brokers (most world exchanges), real-time prices and Add money (deposit at your broker, Twin tells you when it arrives). Twin never holds your money.
| Your computer | Download | How to install |
|---|---|---|
| Windows 10/11 | Twin-Windows-Setup.exe | Open it and press Install (no admin needed). If Windows says it protected your PC, choose More info → Run anyway (the app isn't code-signed yet). Without installing: Twin-Windows-Portable.zip. |
| Mac with Apple chip (M1 and newer) | Twin-macOS-AppleSilicon.dmg | Open it and drag Twin to Applications. The first time, macOS blocks it because it isn't notarized: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. |
| Mac with Intel chip | Twin-macOS-Intel.dmg | Same as above. Not sure which Mac? Apple menu → About This Mac shows Chip (Apple) or Processor (Intel). |
| iPhone / Android | Open the web app | Practice money only. Real trading runs on a computer: this desktop app, or Twin's server with --lan if you want to reach it from your phone (see the README). |
Your accounts and broker connection stay on your computer (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Twin or ~/Library/Application Support/Twin). Twin updates itself from Me → Update Twin. Checksums for this build: SHA256SUMS.txt.

AIRIZ Console 1.11.18 - your own share code, no Bluetooth, fewer duplicate buttons
AIRIZ Console 1.11.18: your own code, no Bluetooth, fewer duplicate buttons
Owner: Juwen Lie · Team: Ziris PTB
- You set the code, like a password. Sharing never makes a random code any more. In Remote by code (top bar) →
This PC has the AIRIZ, type your 6 digits once and press Save code; it is used every time you share. Change
replaces it (phones on the old code are disconnected). Codes that are too easy to guess (123456, 111111 …) are refused.
Without a code, sharing does not start. - Phones need no app and no Bluetooth. iPhone (Safari or Chrome) and Android (Chrome) open the console and type the
code. The old iPhone/Bluefy page now just opens the console. - Removed: Connect Bluetooth, iPhone: open in Bluefy, Phone remote (Bluetooth bridge installer), and the
duplicates Share control, Connect by code and the Camera-page Left/right switch (the Motor control one stays).
Remote by code is the one place to share; Manage sharing there shows Allow requests and remembered devices. - Bluetooth test stays: it only checks the AIRIZ's own Bluetooth chip.
Unsigned Windows x64 build. Tested with the demo device, an iPhone Chrome browser profile and the packaged-app smoke
test; not yet on a real AIRIZ or a real iPhone.
AIRIZ Console 1.11.17 - Camera reaches the other PC, step presets, left/right
AIRIZ Console 1.11.17: real device facts instead of decoration
Owner: Juwen Lie · Team: Ziris PTB
- Firmware the AIRIZ really reports: the strip under the buttons asks
diag ver swafter connecting and shows it
next to the firmware the command list was written for (0.0.0.9). - Bluetooth test reads the answer: OK with the controller address, or the error code (was: command sent only).
- Live link status: the header shows the link and when the AIRIZ last answered, Connected for replaces the
session clock, and the sidebar bars are the real bytes per second. - Move check: with the camera preview on, every jog compares the picture before and after and says whether the
camera really moved. - Automatic calibration: Measure automatically for the aim (picture shift) and for the timing (move ends when
the picture stops changing). - Real siren: a generated rising/falling wail (650-1500 Hz) is the new default; the AIRIZ test sound stays selectable.
- PC playback volume: the Listen slider is named for what it does (it never changed the AIRIZ speaker).
- Hardware check (read-only): firmware, motor driver files, accelerometer, buttons, light sensor, kernel, storage
and the camera's zoom controls, saved as a report. Optional 20-step test move, off by default.
Unsigned Windows x64 build. Tested with the demo device, a fake webcam and the packaged-app smoke test; please run
Hardware check once on a real AIRIZ and send the report so the accelerometer and motor-status readings can be used.
