v0.4.12 — Connect running Claude conversations

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:43

Connect the Claude conversation already running in your terminal, search previous conversations by name or branch, or start a new conversation.

  • Running connection: choose Laufende Unterhaltung verbinden in VS Code, then run the two copyable commands in that Claude conversation. Requires Claude Code 2.1.280+.
  • Keep the original process and conversation. The local plugin accepts feedback only for the explicitly selected session.
  • Search project conversations with names, branches and running indicators; retain Claude's picker as a fallback.
  • Preserve selection when copying a launch command and refuse stale handoffs.
  • Respect executable paths configured in trusted workspace settings.
  • Refreshed README, banner, setup instructions and QA report.

Install the attached VSIX using Extensions → … → Install from VSIX…, then reload VS Code and reconnect once after updating.

Validation: strict TypeScript and 256 tests pass. Authenticated VS Code walkthrough verified in-place attachment, unchanged process/session identity and an acknowledged inline question with a formatted Python reply. Separate-terminal UI and two simultaneous authenticated Claude conversations remain additional verification tasks. See docs/QA-2026-10-26.md.

Local Review 0.4.8 · choose your Claude conversation

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:01

Choose your Claude conversation

Resume the specific conversation that built your feature, or start a new one. Copy the same connection command for a separate terminal from Review → … → Verbindungsbefehl kopieren.

Explicit managed switching preserves the old terminal on cancellation or setup failure. The launcher guards against an active external receiver, including connection races. Existing project configuration and tool permissions remain in effect.

Validation: strict TypeScript and 222 automated tests pass; packaged and installed successfully. Real VS Code 1.143.0 clicks with authenticated Claude Code 2.1.280 verified a new conversation, specific-session resume, remembered conversation context through an inline question, automatic reply delivery, uppercase /R summary, human resolution, both copy-command choices and cancellation of session switching. A separate-terminal round trip, busy-agent delivery and full app restart remain unverified in this pass.

A running conversation must exit before resuming. Live process attachment and exact session ownership remain follow-up work. The first copy attempt had a transient Node startup failure; retry succeeded, with cause unconfirmed. This is a developer preview, not a Marketplace release.

Local Review 0.4.7 — smoother native reviews

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:01

Native review conversations now retain their controls during progress updates and keep the code captured when a command-created draft opens. The Review list starts with filename:line; its appearance action is easier to find.

  • Review → … → Zentrierte Ansicht narrows source and native inline comments together. Toggle it again for full width; side-by-side diffs retain automatic expansion.
  • Resume edited or failed GitHub handoff previews during the same editor session. Edits clear published status; unchanged content cannot be published twice.
  • Distinguish a connected tool from an active feedback receiver. Reloaded managed terminals are reused, and private connection settings are replaced atomically.
  • Preserve IME and macOS Dictation composition in extension-owned inputs.

Install the attached VSIX, reload VS Code when convenient, and reconnect Claude once after upgrading so its helper can report the new readiness signal. To improve unfocused native comment contrast, choose Kommentarfenster hervorheben once per project.

Validation: strict TypeScript and 210 passing tests. Actual VS Code click-through covered ask/summary/implement modes, replies, resolution, navigation, reload and centered layout with controlled agent responses. Responsive PR-preview screenshots use the production HTML. A new authenticated interactive Claude run and real PR publication were not performed in this pass.

Verification report and remaining limits.

Local Review 0.4.6 — responsive appearance actions

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:01

Native review conversations can use a distinct project surface, darker reply field and persistent neutral frame. Run Local Review: Kommentarfenster hervorheben once in each project; installing the extension alone does not enable the colors.

This update fixes appearance actions waiting for an earlier notification to close. Restore and reapply now complete while success, high-contrast or error notifications remain open.

Validation: strict TypeScript checking and all 185 tests pass, including regressions with unresolved notifications. A real VS Code Dark+ check verified applying the palette and keeping the reply field visible after focus leaves it. The corrected native reset/reapply sequence remains unverified because computer control later lost access to the VS Code window. Version 0.4.6 was installed locally; activation in the existing window still requires reloading it.

Developer preview, not yet available on the VS Code Marketplace. Other native comments and Peek results share these project color overrides.

Local Review 0.4.5 preview

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:01

Local Review 0.4.5 preview adds clearer native comment windows.

Run Local Review: Kommentarfenster hervorheben from the Command Palette or the Review view's … menu. A distinct surface, darker reply field and neutral frame stay visible when the conversation is unfocused.

Colors apply only to the current theme in this project. VS Code shares this surface with other native comments and Peek results. High-contrast themes retain their own colors. Local Review: Standarddarstellung wiederherstellen restores previous managed values while preserving later manual edits.

Strict TypeScript and all 183 automated tests pass, including workspace/global inheritance, safe reset, theme switching, failed writes and concurrent manual settings edits. No user-facing settings change automatically when the extension loads.

The VSIX was installed locally. Activation and the focused/unfocused visual comparison remain pending because the test Mac is locked; no project appearance setting was changed during verification.

Install the attached VSIX and reload VS Code. Existing review conversations remain stored.

Local Review 0.4.4 preview

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:01

Local Review 0.4.4 preview makes feedback delivery quieter and completed conversations easy to hide.

  • Normal Stop/tool hooks remember comments already announced in the same Claude session. New feedback still arrives; session start/resume explicitly recovers unfinished work.
  • Hook messages lead with file, mode and actual feedback. Superseded requests remain history rather than resurfacing as new work.
  • Resolve threads with ✓ in the editor or Review list. Completed threads disappear by default; the eye control shows them again, and Wieder öffnen restores them.
  • Strict TypeScript and all 167 automated tests pass, including real hook-process delivery and recovery regressions.

Install the attached VSIX, reload VS Code, then reconnect Claude through “Local Review: Mit Claude verbinden” so it loads the updated hooks. Existing conversations remain stored.

This remains a preview; Marketplace publication and the full authenticated integration walkthrough are pending. Delivery is recoverable, not an exactly-once guarantee for agent edits.

Local Review 0.4.3 preview

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:01

Local Review 0.4.3 fixes the reported plain-text reply containing JSDoc and only an exported function header.

  • Recognize a complete attached JSDoc comment plus a supported exported declaration or isolated header in older unfenced replies.
  • Show the excerpt in the existing dark, framed, syntax-colored code card, keeping surrounding explanation outside it.
  • Preserve original snippet and review text. No missing function body or closing brace is invented.
  • Keep code navigation and read-only preview recovery aligned with the displayed excerpt.
  • Include doc comments and incomplete function headers in the reply tool's formatting contract; the short repeated wake-up reminder stays unchanged.

Validation: strict TypeScript checking and all 150 automated tests pass, including the exact stored reply and navigation/recovery pipeline. Installed and reloaded in the actual macOS VS Code: the reported old reply rendered a green JSDoc and colored function header in a framed dark card, with prose outside. The header icon opened the original two-line excerpt. See docs/REVIEW.md for remaining integration work.

Install the attached VSIX and reload VS Code. This preview is not yet on the Marketplace.

Local Review 0.4.2 preview

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@flucas96 flucas96 released this 26 Oct 10:01

The code-reference icon now sits on the native comment header beside the author and timestamp, removing the extra row from the reply body.

  • One code target opens directly; several targets use a compact native picker.
  • Header actions use extension-owned comment identities and revalidate the stored code target. Reply Markdown no longer needs command trust.
  • Existing dark code cards, code context and navigation remain available.

Validation: strict TypeScript checking and all 142 automated tests pass. The installed 0.4.2 was reloaded and visually checked in the actual macOS VS Code: icon on Claude's header row, no body action row, and clicking opened the exact historical code beside the thread. The native multi-target picker walkthrough remains pending; selection/cancellation are automated-tested. See docs/REVIEW.md for remaining integration work.

Install the attached VSIX and reload VS Code. This preview is not yet on the Marketplace.
