v0.31.2

@kanzo-tech/ui

  • A Dashboard edits its tiles in your page's aside, the way draw.io's Format panel does, instead of in a modal popover over the board. The page keeps scrolling while a tile is added or edited, and the tile being edited is outlined as the preview. A click on the board no longer drops the draft; Cancel, the close button and Escape do.
  • PreferencesSections lays preferences out in two columns. A toggle takes one column, with its name beside the switch, so two toggles share a row. Everything else spans the row, and a select's trigger is full width. A host that wrapped PreferencesSections in its own flex column for spacing can drop the wrapper.
  • Slider's first and last markers hang inward from the ends of the track, so a long label no longer runs past the edge.

Breaking:

  • A dashboard is editable only on a page that places the new TileEditorAside. Put it in a ShellAside of your own, under the same MosaicProvider as the dashboard. Keep it mounted, and show the aside while useTileEditorOpen() is true:

    <ShellAside aria-label="Format" side="end" width={352} hidden={!useTileEditorOpen()}>
      <TileEditorAside />
    </ShellAside>

    Without it the dashboard is read-only, even with onChange.

  • If you place TileEditor yourself, put it in your own aside, which it fills. anchor now only brings the tile into view as the editor opens.

  • Tests that found the editor by role="dialog" find it by role="region" and its title, Add tile or Edit tile.

@kanzo-tech/theme and @kanzo-tech/ui

  • A range preference may name its two ends, for example ends: ["Links decide", "Tight groups"]. <Pref> draws them as the slider's markers. The markers sit on whole numbers, so name the ends of a range that runs from 0 to 1.
  • A listed choice may be ordered: true when its options form one scale, from least to most. <Pref> draws it as a stepped slider with the options as its markers, instead of a row of cards.

@kanzo-tech/graph

  • The graph's settings follow the new Settings panel.
    • The five forces (Gravity, Repulsion, Link spring, Link distance, Friction) are offered only under Force placement.
    • Clustered offers its Cluster pull, whose two ends are named Links decide and Tight groups.
    • Labels comes right after Marks and is a slider from None to All, since each level adds to the one before.
    • The Map columns read X axis and Y axis, and the Clustered column reads Group by.
    • Stored values are untouched: a force set under Force is still applied, and still there when you go back.
  • Escape on GraphCanvas no longer logs React's "Cannot update a component while rendering a different component". Nothing to change on your side.

@kanzo-tech/ai

  • Chat draws its suggested questions centred just above the composer, instead of under the empty state. ChatSkeleton does the same.
  • No ✨ leads a strip of suggestions, in Chat or under an Assist field.
  • A new notice prop is drawn in place of the pills while there are none. When suggesting fails, pass the failure there (your Problem, with a retry) instead of leaving an empty row. Nothing to change if you pass no notice.
