Fix the intermittent disappearance of Start voice in Work chats when Desktop retains hidden Chat composers after navigation.

Fixes

• Keep Start voice available in an eligible, idle Work composer when inactive Chat composers remain mounted in the background.
• Continue to respect visible Chat ownership and native account/workspace eligibility while preserving custom-provider configuration and session history.

Compatibility

The button-visibility fix was reproduced and verified live on macOS Desktop 26.1021.31345. It preserves the existing voice routes and does not change model_provider = "custom".

This release verifies restoration of the Start voice button. A complete spoken call, Windows voice, global voice-hotkey launch, screen capture, dictation capture, and the queued-followup Composer/overlay flow retain their separate live-test requirements.

Installers

Download the installer matching your platform: macOS arm64/x64 or Windows x64/arm64. Fully quit Desktop and reopen codexhost after updating to load the new voice bundles. The voice control may remain hidden while a chat is generating; check it when the composer is idle.

macOS Gatekeeper

If macOS reports that Apple cannot verify the downloaded app, run:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/codexhost.app

Then reopen codexhost.
