gitvisualise v1.1.0
gitvisualise 1.1.0
The biggest update since launch: more languages, monorepos, request tracing and a way to see what changed between two revisions.
Highlights
- Compare two revisions.
owner/repo@v1...v2marks components and relationships added (green), removed (red) or changed (amber) and narrates the difference. The CLI hasgitvisualise diff <older> <newer>. - Request tracing. A
fetchoraxioscall is linked to the server route that handles it, only on an exact method and path match, with evidence on both sides and a "Request: GET /x" tour. - Monorepos. One component per workspace package, or analyse a single folder with
--path,owner/repo:folderor a/tree/<ref>/<folder>link. - Java and Rust import graphs, Go workspaces, and
tsconfig/jsconfig/Vite/webpack path aliases. - Viewer and website. Light/dark theme, component search, SVG/PNG export, swimlanes, deep links to any step, a paginated repository picker and a per-commit IndexedDB cache.
- Optional "Sign in with GitHub", off by default. It needs a small token-exchange function that a maintainer deploys; see
server/github-oauth.
Also: Python imports now follow Python 3 semantics, and cached tours are versioned so a release never shows stale results. Full details in the CHANGELOG.
