This was always more of a personal hack to keep Silver Bird usable for my own use. With Twitter radically switching APIs, I'm not interested in trying to rebuild the engine from scratch (if it's at all possible with the new APIs!).
However, I will leave this up if someone is interested in changes made since the fork.

What is it?
Silver Feather a fork of Silver Bird, a general purpose Chromium Twitter extension.
Since the original extension is no longer maintained, this fork was made to fix outstanding errors and continue development.

Installing
Get it at the Chrome Web Store (unlisted beta)
Note that the source distribution does not include any API keys.

It works on all Chrome distribution channels: Stable, Beta and Dev.

- Follow your timelines and navigate through your tweets
- Notify user through icon changes whenever new tweets arrive
- Compose, reply, and RT tweets
- Read / unread tweets tracking
- OAuth authentication
- Tweets caching to avoid hitting Twitter's API rate limit (Only hit Twitter after 1 minute or when fetching uncached tweets)
- It uses Chromium autoupdate feature, so you won't be left behind
