Beluga 1.5.2
Beluga 1.5.2: share and hand off a worktree with any friend, and @ a teammate in New Task.
- Share a worktree with a friend:
/invite @friendin a worktree shares just that worktree over the network, and its Share sheet lists your friends, not only the people in the room. - Hand off a worktree to any friend, no room needed: the offer, its branch and their answer go over your link with them.
- New Task: type @ to tag a teammate or friend, and Claude is told who each one is when it writes the tasks.
The phone app hasn't changed: it stays 1.5.1.
Beluga 1.5.1
Beluga 1.5.1: watch a sentinel's Claude at work, copy any table in one click, and a calmer Sentinel page.
- Watch a sentinel's Claude step: its session runs live on the run's page, and you answer its approvals there.
- Sentinel for newcomers: the first visit plays a few short scenes of what it can do (the site going down at 3 a.m. and a pull request waiting by morning, a board and its desktop widgets, tests going red then green, a review landing on its line). Suggest Some for Me leads the ideas, and Ask Sentinel looks at your projects first and offers watchers and boards in plain words.
- Ask Sentinel slides in from the right, its box stays on one line, and the panel resizes by its edge. Board tiles are quieter, fit their words, and glide when you move or resize them.
- Step outputs: a big output reaches the next Claude step as a file (its path, size and a preview), and small ones stay inline. Scripts get
SENTINEL_PREVIOUS_FILE. - Copy a table: one click copies every row, as HTML for Sheets and Docs and as Markdown for text.
- Bring in a Claude Code conversation: Continue in a New Worktree closes at once while the worktree is made behind its row, and a second Continue joins the move.
- Let Claude Handle It opens a worktree when main can't update, and a failing fetch offers it too.
- Fixes: the menu-bar whale's spout no longer flickers.
- Phone: a running sentinel's Claude session opens from its run, Sentinel's first visit has the same scenes, and tables have a Copy button that takes every row as Markdown. The phone app is 1.5.1.
The Android app (Beluga-1.5.1.apk) is attached.
Beluga 1.5.0
Beluga 1.5: fork a friend's worktree to your Mac, bring in Claude Code conversations from outside Beluga, and Sentinel on one page.
- Fork a friend's worktree: its commits, uncommitted work, Scratch and conversation come over to your Mac, and your Claude remembers what happened there.
- Bring in a Claude Code conversation: the project's ••• lists the conversations you had with Claude Code in its folder (or any folder you choose), and continues one in a new worktree with Claude resuming it there.
- Sentinel is one page: Needs you, At a glance with what came back, and Watching, with the Sentinel chat docked beside it. Asking about a sentinel opens that chat next to its page, and Review in Beluga opens where Claude is waiting.
- Sentinel sources reach Supabase over IPv4, read the current environment, and are checked before saving. Board tiles fit their shape and carry their project, and Add to the Board picks with pictures.
- About This Project: a shared note about the project that Claude reads when it writes tasks. Claude fills it in from a quick look the first time you make a worktree.
- New Task: one message makes every task it asks for, an epic with its parts, each for the teammate it names. Tasks only go to a project's teammates, Info shows the team with a way to their chat, and epic cards have a soft tint.
- A queued message waits above the box instead of in the chat, and once it runs it's drawn where it ran.
- Fixes: a worktree chip in a chat no longer crashes the view. Mac updates are signed with the same certificate every time, so they keep Screen Recording.
- Phone: New Task drafts every task one message asks for, an epic with its parts, each for the teammate it names, and adds them all. The phone app is 1.5.0.
The Android app (Beluga-1.5.0.apk) is attached.
Beluga 1.4.1
Beluga 1.4.1: Claude can set up and change your sentinels again.
- Sentinel: in 1.4.0 your Claude couldn't create a sentinel or change one ("make the morning brief weekly", Ask Claude to change this sentinel…): those two tools never reached it, so it could only list, read, run, pause and delete them. They're back.
- Settings › Keyboard: every shortcut is yours to change. Press the keys to record one, and when a key is already taken, Swap or Use Here.
The phone app hasn't changed: it stays 1.4.0.
Beluga 1.4.0
Beluga 1.4: Sentinel watches so you don't have to, your MCP servers come along, and friends' work reaches you even when you're never online together.
- Sentinel: a new section under Work. A sentinel runs on a schedule, when something happens, by hand, or after another sentinel; does a few steps in order (ask Claude, run a script, call a service, open a pull request, merge, notify you, message a chat, ask a friend's Claude, run another sentinel); and leaves a report. It runs on your Mac, as you, and starts paused until you Turn It On.
- Eleven recipes to start from: Morning brief, Fix what broke, Fix it and ship it, Nightly tests (with a sentinel that fixes the failure), Dependency updates, Release notes, Issues to tasks, Uptime guard, Failed payments, Watch the web and Review new pull requests, each with a prompt you can change.
- Or describe it: say "every weekday at 8, read yesterday's commits and brief me" in New Sentinel, or in any chat, and your Claude sets it up. "Ask Claude to change this sentinel…" on its page changes it later. Claude can pause a sentinel but never turn one on, and a change to what it can do pauses it until you look.
- When something happens: a task done, a pull request opened or merged in Beluga; a failed workflow, a new issue or a label on GitHub; a failed payment or a dispute in Stripe; a site that stops answering; a new error, a regression or a spike in Sentry; or a post to its own webhook URL.
- Merge if acceptable: a fix ships only when every check passes, a reviewer says ship, and you tap Merge, on the Mac or the phone. Look, Work and Ship say how far Claude may go.
- Every run leaves a report: the run's page has its steps, their outputs, the report and Open Chat; the row says how the last run went and when the next one is. Time limits, runs per day, and a pause after three failures in a row keep it in check.
- Actions: watch a project's GitHub Actions live, with each workflow drawn as a graph and each job's steps inside its node while it runs.
- Your MCP servers: your runs get your Claude Code MCP servers (user, local and plugin, with the same names, so your logins still work). Settings › Claude lists them and signs you in to any that need it, and a plug chip in the box you type in lists them too.
- Friends: a project shared whole is copied to your friend's Mac (cloned, or sent as a bundle), and in a friend's worktree you pick where it runs, on their Mac or in your copy. A shared conversation's whole history loads as you scroll back, and its box locks while the owner is offline. What a friend hasn't picked up yet waits in a mailbox until their Mac is back, even if you're never online together, and closing the lid sends it first.
- Tasks: a task with sub-tasks is an epic and looks like a deck on the board. Labels are icons in a colour, picked from a set. A task is assigned to a person, and their card shows who's working on it. You can drop files on a task, its card or its row, and its Claude gets them.
- The bell lists what's waiting for you: answer it right in the list, or open it where it lives.
- Merge into main without a PR from the branch menu (it asks first). Merge on GitHub pushes any commits GitHub doesn't have yet, then merges.
- Worktrees: removing one no longer freezes the Mac. New worktrees install nested packages' dependencies and get the main folder's env files at any depth, processes you keep running outlive the turn, and the dock terminal keeps the shell's keys.
- Picking a model mid-conversation switches the live run before your next message, and Send Now answers your message instead of ending the run.
- Settings › Menu Bar: pick what the menu-bar number counts, and a whale that spouts water when Claude finishes. Profile pictures that friends keep a copy of, the microphone on the project home, and a quieter branch control and message box.
- Phone: your sentinels and their runs, Run Now, Pause and Turn On, a run's report, and Merge or Not Now when a fix waits for you. Pictures Claude shows by a Mac path now draw on the phone, and the phone shows which tasks are epics. The phone app is 1.4.0.
The Android app (Beluga-1.4.0.apk) is attached.
Beluga 1.3.0
Beluga 1.3: friends and their Claudes work together, team boards across Macs, and your terminal's look comes with you.
- Friends, one list: your room folds into Friends, trust is set on a friend's card, and
/inviteadds a friend (or/invite @ataadds them to the chat, project or worktree you're in). Friends' Macs say their Beluga version, so an old one reads as "needs an update", not offline. - Share a project with a friend: it's one row in their Projects with your avatar and its worktrees under it, and it stays while you're offline. A shared worktree is live for everyone in it, and what you say while the owner's Mac is offline is delivered when it's back.
- @ata is Ata, @claude:ata is Ata's Claude: mentioning a friend tells them, naming their Claude asks it. Your own Claude takes a real turn with its tools when you ask it in a DM or channel, and approvals show in the chat they're about.
- Secrets ask each time: a friend's request for one asks Allow once or Decline, and only that file is sent.
- Team boards: friends on the same GitHub repo team up (both saying yes), the board stays in step on every Mac, tasks can be assigned to a teammate or their Claude, plan drafts can be shared for review, and conversations stay private unless you share one.
- Board: a parent task follows its sub-tasks to In Progress, In Review and Done, and Tasks open on the board (Kanban) by default.
- Bring your terminal's look: import colours, font and cursor from Ghostty, iTerm2, Terminal, Alacritty, kitty, WezTerm or Warp, in Settings › Terminal and the welcome.
- Create PR, Merge and Update Branch explain SSH, login and gh trouble in plain words and offer the fix.
- The / menu lists Claude's skills and custom commands; a worktree's sub-agents fold under its own row.
- Onboarding: pick the message box's fire (Arcade, Ghost or None) and try it live.
- Your phone opens a chat with Claude with the phone beside it, and the live screen stays off until you ask for it. Tasks, Issues and Plans share one Work row in the sidebar.
- Phone: voice dictation no longer closes the app, the mic button can't crash it on any screen, and the composer rows fit a narrow phone. The phone app is 1.3.0.
The Android app (Beluga-1.3.0.apk) is attached.
Beluga 1.2.0
Beluga 1.2: your phone as live video beside the chat, voice written down while you talk, and Wireless debugging that's safe and sets itself up.
- The phone mirror is live video, smooth instead of a slideshow: over the Beluga link the phone streams its screen (1280 px, 30 fps), and over adb (USB or Wi‑Fi) it's Android's own screen recording, with no prompt on the phone and the first picture in about half a second.
- The phone beside the chat: while an Android phone is paired, the right panel has a Phone tab (⌥⌘8) next to any chat, with Claude's taps, swipes and keys shown as they happen. Ask Claude on the Phone page opens Your Mac with the phone beside it.
- Wireless debugging, safely: Settings › Phone › Use over Wi‑Fi turns it on over the cable and connects. It goes straight over the Wi‑Fi only once the phone proves it's yours, otherwise through the encrypted link; it says when a network keeps devices apart, turns itself off after 15 minutes unused, and the phone's Stop cuts adb too. Claude's Bash gets adb only at the Full level.
- On the cable: Settings › Phone says what's next (turn on USB debugging, tap Allow, or ready), and a plugged-in phone that isn't paired yet can pair over the cable.
- Typing from the Mac finds the phone's text field in any window, and says plainly when there isn't one.
- Voice v2: written down phrase by phrase while you talk, a phrase ends after three seconds of quiet, and a living voice look on both screens. On the phone, send it as said or edit it first, with a liquid blob that swells with your voice.
- Fire & Confetti: set how soon While Typing catches and how long it lingers.
- Create PR works again after the branch's last PR was squash-merged, a refused push says why, and its Working… stays with its worktree when you switch projects.
- Merge refuses while a worktree has commits GitHub doesn't have, instead of leaving them out of the PR.
- Phone: Settings › Voice fits its presets beside Suggested and shows the Mac's models loading. The phone app is 1.2.0.
The Android app (Beluga-1.2.0.apk) is attached.
Beluga 1.1.0
Beluga 1.1: talk instead of typing, GitHub issues Claude investigates and fixes, your phone from the Mac, your Mac's chats on the phone, and earnings that land with confetti.
- Voice: a mic beside Send and a talk shortcut (hold or tap, from any app; ↩ writes it in). It's written down on the Mac or the phone by Whisper Base, Turbo or Parakeet, with a suggested preset in Settings › Voice. On the phone, speak in Ask.
- GitHub issues: Go › Issues lists a project's issues. From an issue, Investigate, Fix It or Make a Task, with a word for Claude; tasks link back to their issue and the project home lists them. A double click sets up one task and one worktree.
- Your phone from the Mac (Android): a phone page with a live mirror you can use, files pushed and pulled, the phone's notifications, recorded and replayed macros, and Claude can drive the phone over adb.
- Stripe earnings: the project home has an Earnings row for the last 7, 30 or 90 days against the span before, with a bar per day and the latest payments. New payments are noticed within 10 minutes, and the sidebar amount hops with pixel-art confetti and gold coins when one lands.
- Conversations at once: up to 10, and a setting; a message past the limit says it waits for a free Claude.
- Fire & Confetti: never inside the box or cut off. While Typing catches at the caret and spreads round the box, Flame is softer, Pixel Art is smooth, and Color the Box is a switch.
- Toolbar: folded, its buttons keep a short word next to their icons (PR, Merge, Fix, Commit…).
- The Tasks board has the whole window, with no right panel.
- Claude shows a screenshot or GIF it made right in the chat, and a GIF plays.
- Restoring a worktree that's still being archived waits for the archive, then brings it back.
- Phone:
- Your Mac's chats: list them, start a new one, switch and delete, from Home.
- Plans: the plan's chat on its page with a milestone map under it, and no Approve/Discard before it has milestones.
- Graphs draw again; a Markdown table with an empty corner is a table, and as cards, long cells show whole.
- Holding Send opens its sheet over the whole screen, with the keyboard put away.
- The branch band's ••• menu opens over the screen, in a roomier band.
- The phone app is 1.1.0.
The Android app (Beluga-1.1.0.apk) is attached.
Beluga 1.0.0
Beluga 1.0: the first full release. Create PR in one click, Merge When Ready that really waits, a phone that stays connected, and a message box that can catch fire.
- Create PR opens the pull request right away, no Claude needed. The chevron next to it has Create PR with Claude, with Instructions… and Draft PR, on the Mac and the phone.
- Merge When Ready waits for the checks itself and merges once they pass. It stops with a notification if a check fails, the PR conflicts or changes are requested, and Cancel Auto-Merge takes it back. It picks up again after a restart.
- Phone connection:
- The relay heals itself after the Mac sleeps, so the phone reconnects within about a minute instead of saying it can't connect.
- Both screens say what's wrong: "Reconnecting to your Mac…" on the phone, Pair again if the Mac forgot it, and Settings › Phone on the Mac shows whether phones on other networks get through.
- Keep this Mac awake: Never, On power or Always, set from the Mac or the phone.
- Stay connected (Android, opt-in): the link survives the screen going off, and "Claude finished" arrives as a notification.
- Phone: add photos when starting a new worktree, and the branch bar's ••• is no longer cut off or drawn under the chat.
- Plan with Tasks only makes its plan when you send, and the plan-mode box is calmer: a thin pastel border and a small tag (teal for Plan First, lavender for Plan with Tasks).
- Fire & Confetti: the message box can burn (Flame or Pixel Art), typing throws confetti and deleting pops the text into pixels. Presets, sliders and your own colours in Settings › Fire & Confetti; on Max only by default, and it respects Reduce Motion.
- Each Claude's chat updates stay in its own conversation when several run at once.
- The full-size image viewer opens pictures centered instead of off at the bottom of the window.
- Working at once: your Claude works in up to 10 conversations at the same time; change the number in Settings › Claude › Working at once. A message past the limit says it waits for a free Claude, with Start now and Change the limit (the phone says so too).
- Fire & Confetti never burns inside the box or gets cut off, Color the Box is a new switch, While Typing dies down sooner and Pixel Art is smooth.
- The phone app is 1.0.0.
The Android app (Beluga-1.0.0.apk) is attached.
Beluga 0.19.0
Beluga opens on friends' Macs instead of saying "damaged", friends' messages show as banners, and run/setup work themselves out.
- Installing: the app is signed, so a fresh download opens after Open Anyway in System Settings › Privacy & Security instead of saying "is damaged".
- Links: invite and friend links say
beluga://(oldklaud://ones still open). - Friends:
- Friends' messages ding and show a banner while Beluga is in front; your messages show as bubbles on the right.
- A friend's Claude in chat offers to do things on their Mac as a request, and "Ask X's Claude?" gains Always (take it back in Settings).
- While talking with friends is off, the Friends sheets offer Turn On instead of an error.
- Run and setup work themselves out: a Makefile or justfile first, else Claude looks once on the first new worktree and remembers it. A failed setup or run asks "Do you want me to fix it?"
- Views keep the rows they fetched, so reopening one doesn't run its source again; Claude can fill a view from its own script. Archiving a conversation cleans them up.
- Scratch: images open centered and zoom smoothly, viewable files sort first, web pages show, and ← → step through at full size.
- Toolbar: on a narrow window the branch pill folds and steps become icons; the panel toggle always shows.
- Onboarding reopens on the step it was left on, so macOS's Quit & Reopen after a permission comes back to it.
- Stand-alone chats get their own folder instead of failing.
- Phone: Save from full screen, saved files go when their conversation is archived on the Mac, and a new Settings › Storage.
- The phone app is 0.19.0.
The Android app (Beluga-0.19.0.apk) is attached.
