Fake Car 1.3.0
Fake Car 1.3.0: more cars, your own car, and an About page.
New
- Add your own car: save your car's vehicle order in E-Sys, click Add your own car in Fake Car, pick the file. You get a copy of your car with a made-up VIN, built from your PSdZData.
- 5 more cars: BMW G20 330i, G05 X5 xDrive40i, G30 540i, F15 X5 xDrive35i, MINI F56 Cooper S.
- Cars no longer need I-steps in
car.txt: the builder finds them in your PSdZData. - Stored faults on the new cars.
- About page and the version in the window title.
- Fake Car tells you when a newer version is out, with a link. Nothing is downloaded by itself.
- Faster car builds: the builder reads PSdZData in place instead of copying it.
- FSC actions tested in E-Sys on the head unit: status, VIN and SID.

How to use
- Download
FakeCar-1.3.0.zipand unzip it anywhere. - Start
FakeCar.exe, pick a car, press Start. - In E-Sys: Open Connection, pick the car by its VIN (or use the gateway URL
tcp://127.0.0.1:6801), Connect.
You need: Windows 10 or 11, E-Sys with PSdZData for the car's series. No .NET install needed.
Windows may warn about an app from the internet the first time: More info, then Run anyway.
Not working yet: on our test PC, E-Sys's TAL calculation for a flash stops with a PSdZ error, so a full flash run is not tested. G-series cars use SFA instead of FSC, which needs BMW's backend. ISTA is not tested.
Licence: free to use and to share unchanged. Changed versions may not be shared, and the "by kdrcoding" credit must stay.
