Eufy Security Viewer 0.3.0
Events across all your cameras
Eufy Events brings existing HomeBase recordings into one Home Assistant timeline: filter by camera and date, open stored previews, choose marked recording days, and move to the previous or next clip from the player. The card is bundled with the integration; no additional frontend installation is needed.
The bridge now expands the SDK's original 100-row day limit. A tested 105-row HomeBase day contained 95 camera recordings; a clip beyond the old cutoff was listed and played in HA. Ambiguous or inconsistent history responses fail explicitly. This is verified on HB3 T8030 firmware 3.8.6.0, not a universal firmware/pagination guarantee.
Existing WebRTC/audio, authenticated entity permissions, bounded recording preparation and automatic viewer shutdown are preserved. Previews come from existing event images, with no live capture or cloud polling loop.
Upgrade
- Close viewers and update Eufy Security Viewer Bridge to 0.3.0 in the HA App Store. Preserve its private data and token. Manually installed local apps need migration to the GitHub repository app first.
- Update Eufy Security Viewer to 0.3.0 in HACS, then restart Home Assistant.
- Edit the existing module resource to
/eufy_viewer/eufy-viewer-card.js?v=0.3.0and reload the dashboard. - Add Eufy Events from the card picker. Existing camera cards remain compatible.
HACS updates the integration and bundled cards. The bridge is a separate app update.
Validation and limits
- 34 bridge tests; 53 HA tests with 96.19% coverage; 18 browser tests including real WebRTC audio/video.
- Real HomeBase clips played through the HA timeline, including the oldest selected clip beyond the former page cutoff.
- Four camera entities and snapshots available after live tests; no active recording or live stream left running.
- Physical iPhone suspension/speaker output, remote WebRTC routes and wider firmware/model coverage remain unverified. Recording preparation is bounded to 60 seconds and 32 MiB.
See README and full validation. Installation archives and SHA-256 checksums are attached.
