Installation

If you are unable to follow these steps, I can't help you. Please do not message me about this, thanks.

  1. Download 7-Zip or WinRAR
  2. Extract the early_version file
  3. Move the CONTENTS of the extracted file to your Call of Duty 4 directory
  • Do not move the actual extracted folder into your Call of Duty 4 folder
  • Move the contents to the ROOT folder of Call of Duty 4, do NOT move them to a subfolder

Old guide (removed for being too hard to understand)

Drop the contents of the early_version folder into your cod4 directory

Tutorials

  • Properly using the strafebot and autofps

❗ the strafebot is able to perform just about any jump if used right

❗ the autofps focuses on speed rather than height

❗ It is recommended to keep the "Long 125fps" feature disabled if you need to do a 333 flick in mid-air

You can't always rely on the strafebot to do all the work for you, because when performing awkward jumps the bot easily loses track of where it is supposed to go. You can counteract this by manually controlling your direction using your WASD keys.

The autofps ignores vertical velocity completely, so it will always fail at height bounces. You can counteract this by using the "spacebar 333fps" to use 333fps whenever you need.

Examples

  • How to record and segment jumps

Recording

  1. Bind recording and segmenting from Controls/Multiplayer Controls
  2. Press your recording key and start moving around (You should see a "RECORDING" text on the screen)
  3. Once you are done recording, either press the key again or open the menu
  4. Open the Jump Preview tab from the menu
  5. Done

Segmenting

  1. In the Jump Preview tab: go to the frame where you want to start the segment from
  2. Press the "Mark Segment" button in the menu and close the menu after that
  3. Now you need to press the segmenting keybind
  4. You will be teleported to where you marked the segment and then you will be launched after the specified time has passed (Jump Preview/Preferences)
  5. Once you are done recording, either press the key again or open the menu
  6. Open the Jump Preview tab from the menu
  7. You can now see the segmented jump recording
  8. To merge this segment to the original recording, press the "Merge" button
  9. Done

💡 Tip: You can see all jump preview hotkeys from Jump Preview/Help

  • How to use the jump builder

❗ The bot will do the same action during each segment. (e.g. WA for 100 frames in segment 0, WD for 50 frames in segment 1)

❗ the "Modify Start" button will ONLY appear when you are on Segment 0

  • Segments

Segment slider: change current segment

Add: Add a segment

Delete: Delete a segment

Insert: Insert a segment (-1 from selected segment)

  • Editing

Frame: Currently selected frame (this is only for visualization)

Frame count: How many frames will the bot do this action for

  • Directional keys (WASD)

These control the direction where the bot strafes

  • Project

Modify Start: You can use this to edit the starting position in case you created the project from a bad position/angle

Delete Project: Deletes the current project

💡 Tip: The jump builder uses the same hotkeys as Jump Preview

Things to keep in mind

  1. Changing the settings from the "Jumping" category can lead to unexpected behaviour (e.g. inability to slide from bounces)
  2. Most of the features here take time to learn, so don't expect to be a master instantly 😃
  3. you CANNOT record demos when fixed fps is enabled, because the demos are always broken
  4. fixed fps will cause frame skipping in the jump preview and jump builder
