Choose a Backend As A Service for prototyping

Hi Kent! Thank you for your amazing job!

I am a junior developer frontend. I am currently following your Epic React Training, which is great, thank you!

I would like to build some prototypes or some apps but I am a bit suck by my lack of knowledge in backend. I'll learn backend when I will find time but I would like to be able to create apps now.

My question is do you have ever use a backend as a service solution like Firebase, Back4App (Parse) or another one, please?

In my case, I would like to be able to easily put in place authentication and to interact with the backend with REST API or GraphQL (and not a custom sdk, in order to be able to switch on my own backend in the future).

Hi @ericledonge,

I don't like doing backend either. I really like Firebase. I'm using firestore for an app right now and as far as those services go, it's pretty straightforward. Good luck!
