Hi,
ctags are really useful, but I find it annoying that the tag file is created in the root directory of a git repository project. It would be much more convenient to have it hidden under .git/ - but I do not know how to do it :) What do you think about it? :)

The tag file is created by vim-gutentags plugin. If you think it is annoying, you could disable this plugin.

Hey, you didn't understand me, I just suggest that it would be useful to set gutentags_cache_dir to for example ~/.cache/ctags by default, if keeping it under ~/.git subdirectory of each project repository is not possible automatically. ~/.cache/ctags is much better solution than spreading tags across whole computer.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have set the gutentags_cache_dir to ~/.cache/ctags. :)
