Sprite Sage v0.2.0 brings new ways to create, animate, and export your sprites.
- Local AI generation with integrated model setup and reference-based editing.
- 3D → 2D sprites: Bake GLB models into directional sprite animations.
- Experimental motion templates: Animate characters using the included Bandit template, with frame review, retries, and resumable jobs.
- Better animation tools: Drag-and-drop timelines, per-frame timing, playback controls, pixel-perfect zoom, and improved undo/redo.
- More import and polish options: Image sequences, sprite sheets, Aseprite, animated GIF/WebP, and background cleanup.
- More consistent AI artwork: Project style and character references carry through generation.
- Smoother workflow: Recent projects, whole-project Godot export, recovery checkpoints, secure API key storage, and no extra Windows command window.
Upgrade note: Saved sprites use a new format that older Sprite Sage versions cannot open.
