Kick Air 0.3.2 beta updates the factory envelopes and simplifies preset selection.

Changes

  • Preset menus show names and the current selection only, without thumbnails, on macOS and Windows.
  • All 16 factory curves have been replaced. Recovery shapes use newly specified hold and return timings with a biased quintic return. Rhythmic gate, dip, swell and bounce shapes use new point layouts.
  • Saved Custom curve points and plugin parameter IDs remain unchanged.
  • Audio triggering, kick input routing, Depth, Flow and the main waveform display retain their existing controls.

  • Windows 10/11, 64-bit: KickAir-0.3.2-Windows-x64.exe. VST3.
  • macOS 11 or later: KickAir-0.3.2-macOS.pkg. Universal AU and VST3 for Apple Silicon and Intel.
  • USER_GUIDE.md and TESTING.md are in English. SHA256SUMS.txt lists file checksums.

Save your projects and close your DAW before installing. Projects using a factory preset may sound different after this update. Custom curve points are not changed.

Beta status

These installers are unsigned. The macOS package is not notarized. This update was not manually retested in DAWs. See the repository's VALIDATION.md for the automated checks completed.

Antivirus detections reported for an earlier Windows installer remain under investigation. A new installer hash does not resolve or disprove those reports. No claim is made that this update fixes those detections.

Kick Air is a free sidechain ducking plugin for Windows and macOS.

Put it on your bass, send the kick to its external sidechain input and shape the
return with Depth, Flow and an editable curve. The display shows the kick in red
and the processed bass in blue on the same timeline.

Downloads

  • Windows 10/11: use the Windows-x64.exe installer. VST3, 64-bit.
  • macOS 11 or later: use the macOS.pkg installer. Universal AU and VST3 for
    Apple Silicon and Intel.
  • USER_GUIDE.md covers installation, FL Studio routing, Logic Pro and controls.
  • TESTING.md lists useful checks and what to include in a bug report.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt contains download checksums.

No account, activation or time limit. Save your project and close your DAW before
installing.

Beta status

These installers are unsigned. The macOS package is not notarized. See the user
guide for installation details.

The macOS builds passed native validation. Windows runtime, GUI and installer
checks passed using Wine on macOS. Tests in DAWs on physical Windows PCs are
still needed. Please share your setup and results in the repository's Issues.
