getSteps() for Test Case returns empty array

Even though the test case in Test Link has steps the Java API method always returns an empty array.

Using 1.9.3-4.jar against 1.9.3 TestLink

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi @gavk34, the behaviour of the Java code reflects the one in the PHP XML-RPC. If that method returns only an empty array, then it is likely that either the API doesn't as well, or that we got to implement that in the Java code.

Yes unfortunately after looking at the code this seems to be the case.
If you use getTestCasesForTestSuite() then this will return the test cases with empty steps.

However using getTestCase() returns the necessary steps

So I have built a loop to retrieve the relevant data, but yes THE XML-RPC returns an empty array of steps when returning from getTestCasesForTestSuite(). Thanks for the response :)

If you set detail, then it will return steps.
