I'm just using TaskBoard for my personal "todo list". So don't really need to have these things displayed on every item. It would save a lot of space if they could be hidden.

"No Description"

I think this could be removed altogether? It doesn't serve much purpose. Or at least be an option to not be shown.

Obviously if a description has been entered, it should still be displayed. Also some people might not want descriptions shown at all? So there could be a few options to select from for when this displays things or not.

But I think just removing "No Description" makes sense, and will only take a second to change.

Assigned To: Unassigned

This one could just be an a tickbox option: Display "Assigned To: Unassigned"? yes/no

In both cases, it would be more flexible to have these options per board, but maybe they could just be global to start with if that's easier to implement?

For now for myself, I've just hacked them out of js/controllers/boards.js and partials/board.html - but other users might find such settings handy.

As the last two items I'm working on for v0.3.0 are settings like this, I will add this into v0.3.0 for the second part at least. The Assigned To: Unassigned bit I can go ahead and do, no problem.

However, I'd like feedback on whether or not to include the 'No Description' text for empty items by default, or to just make it another user board setting.

I would remove the text, without another option in settings, sometimes tasks are so simple, that just 2-3 words in heading are really enough

Works for me. "No Description" is out.

Maybe it's useful to hide some functionality that gets unleashed if users enter an "professional" mode?

For example I use my taskboard alone and just as visual todolist. So my usecase is pretty simple, but I see that there are Kanban-Teams out there that need more functionality.

@Matthias84 That's basically how I'm doing it. There are (will be) some additional settings in v0.3.0 that allow you to turn a few things on and off. The second part of this Issue is one of those things.

However, everything currently defaults to on as that was the original design intent. Making it a simpler todo list is only a few clicks though (once v0.3.0 is done).
