Added

  • codingest-mcp serves the code-review methodology for every graph. The
embedded server registers codingest's lazy code_review skill and the
code_review/* recipe catalogue through kglite 0.17.7's producer hooks, so
    list_recipe_queries / run_recipe_query (target_coverage,
    caller_coverage, callers_page, direct_callees, bounded_call_path,
    type_consumers, trait_implementations) and the skill("code_review")
loader are available in every mode, including the manifest-less workspace
boot. Skills are therefore on by default: a manifest that never
mentions skills: now serves kglite's bundled methodology plus codingest's
(measured: 21.0 KB of tool descriptions across 13 tools, versus 6.9 KB
across 12 with skills: false, which silences everything). Operator packs
still win by name. --selftest reports the producer layer.
  • codingest build --embed-skills and codingest.build(..., embed_skills=True) write the same code_review skill and recipe
catalogue into the .kgl as graph-carried KgliteSkill / KgliteRecipe
records, for a graph served by a plain kglite-mcp-server --graph where no
producer is present. Off by default: the default artifact is byte-identical
to earlier releases and every parity golden is unchanged. repo_tree never
embeds. The build report and the .kgl.meta.json sidecar record
    embed_skills.
  • codingest::methodology — the code-review methodology as data: the lazy
code_review skill record and the code_review/* Cypher recipe catalogue
    (target_coverage, caller_coverage, callers_page, direct_callees,
    bounded_call_path, type_consumers, trait_implementations), compiled by
the same gate the MCP server runs at boot so a bad recipe fails the unit test
rather than a user's boot, plus attach() to write them into a graph as
    graph-carried records.

Changed

  • Engine floor moves to kglite 0.17.7. 0.17.7 adds the producer-level
methodology hook codingest asked for (ServerExtensions::with_skills /
with_recipes), which this release adopts (see below). It also fixes a
defect every codingest-mcp deployment had been living with: kglite's bundled
    code_graph_analysis, code_graph_views and read_code_source skills gate
on the graph carrying Function and Class nodes, and a workspace server has
no graph at boot, so they were suppressed for the life of the process. They
now activate on the first set_root_dir that builds a code graph.
  • Live floor declarations moved together: the Rust kglite and
kglite-mcp-server requirements, Python requirement, CI wheel pin,
import-failure hint, bundled code-review skill and current README/docs
snippets now require 0.17.7. Historical release, parity and benchmark records
    remain unchanged.
