Two tools from a new contributor, and a fix that saves Claude Code users about 30K tokens in every session.

Dismiss Google's recommendations (#110, thanks @xgp)

get_recommendations now returns each recommendation's ID. draft_dismiss_recommendations turns down the ones you won't take, such as "add broad match" on a deliberately narrow account. They go through the usual preview and confirm_and_apply.

  • Preview first. It lists each recommendation's type, campaign and estimated impact, so you see what you're turning down. Unknown or already dismissed IDs are refused by name.
  • No validate-only mode at Google. Google Ads has none for dismissing, so the dry run re-reads the account instead. It fails if a recommendation was dismissed, applied or expired since the preview. The test-mode client still refuses the call, so a dry run can never dismiss anything.
  • Single confirmation. Dismissing changes nothing that serves, and Google can show a dismissed recommendation again.

Every setting that widens a Search campaign, in one read (#111, thanks @xgp)

get_campaign_settings returns one flat record per Search campaign, covering every setting that decides how far it reaches:

  • networks (Search partners, Display);
  • the location option (presence vs presence or interest);
  • campaign-level broad match;
  • bidding and budget;
  • tracking template, final URL suffix and custom parameters;
  • the AI Max state.

widening_settings and insights[] name anything that lets ads reach beyond the chosen keywords and locations. Asking "did Google switch something back on?" each week is now a single call, and the result diffs cleanly from one week to the next.

Rules install: lazy mode really is lazy now (#113, #114, both reported by @xgp)

  • Lazy mode no longer loads everything. adloop install-rules --lazy used to write the full rules to ~/.claude/rules/adloop.md, and Claude Code loads that folder into every session. It now writes them to ~/.adloop/rules/adloop.md, which Claude reads only when AdLoop tools are in use.
  • Old lazy installs move on update. Run adloop update-rules and the old file is removed, provided AdLoop wrote it. A file of your own at that path is never touched.
  • The real cost is stated. The full rules come to about 30K tokens, not the 10K we quoted. The installer now measures this from the bundled file. If you installed inline and AdLoop isn't in most of your sessions, adloop update-rules --lazy switches you over.
  • The setup wizard now defaults to lazy. adloop install-rules still defaults to inline.
  • The test suite no longer writes to your home directory. Each test now gets its own empty home, so running the suite never writes the rules into a contributor's real ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md again.
