Debian 13 and Ubuntu 26.04 now have a .deb, attached below:

sudo apt install ./pipewire-control-center_0.6.1_all.deb

It installs the same files as the AUR package and pulls in everything the app
needs. There's no apt repository, so install the next release's .deb the same
way. Debian 12 and Ubuntu 24.04 are too old (libadwaita 1.7 is the floor), and
apt refuses it there rather than installing an app that can't start.

Bug: virtual surround came out far too loud
(#17). HRIR
files aren't normalised, and at the default gain every HeSuVi file we measured
came out 5 to 19 dB over full scale. New chains now get their gain worked out
from the HRIR file, and the chain dialog shows the level. Chains you already
have keep their gain
: a too-loud one gets a Too loud tag, and its dialog
has a button that applies the suggested gain. Reported by @IPD8WN32.

Bug: a filter chain could fail to start with no explanation
(#15). On
distros that split PipeWire's plugin support into separate packages, Fedora and
Ubuntu 26.04 among them, a plugin PipeWire couldn't load killed its chain, and
the error named neither the cause nor the cure. Those plugins are now greyed
out with the package to install named, and a chain that would fail is refused
before it starts. Reported by @GileonFletcher.

Channel maps work with any device, not just Pro Audio cards: a virtual
output can go to chosen channels of any device, such as a DualSense's haptics
(#12) or one
pair of a surround card.

Bug: the Debian/Ubuntu install line was missing python3-gi-cairo
(#21). A git
checkout without it now stops at startup and names the package, instead of
opening with blank meters. Reported by @joebobmiles.

Bug: the Fedora install line was missing two packages,
gobject-introspection and pipewire-utils, which on Fedora 44 kept a git
checkout from starting at all.

Your settings are untouched. Nothing in this release needs migrating.
