Changes

  • Rename the advertised address option to --public-base-url, accurately describing an HTTP(S) base URL. Markon appends workspace and file paths; a bare domain is not accepted.
  • Persist the default as public_base_url in ~/.markon/settings.json. Existing public_url settings remain readable and migrate to the canonical name when saved. Workspace IDs, salts and database data are preserved.
  • Keep --public-url, --entry and --qr as compatibility aliases. --open-browser / -b continues to control only this invocation's browser launch.
  • Update desktop labels, generated commands, documentation, comments and screenshots. Deprecated Rust helper/accessor methods remain available.

Validation

Rust, frontend, migration and actual CLI integration checks passed, including live/cold restarts and retained workspace/database state. Native desktop builds and checks run through CI.
